    Why get a dog just for the sake of getting one? Surely you should decide what you need it for and get one that ticks all the boxes If your just after a pet any mongrel will do, and spend the £800 on a holiday

    If your walking the dog around other people/dogs he should be on a lead anyway. The problem is when he runs up to other people you cannot discipline him in front of them (which is what you should do), so safer bet is to walk him on a lead in busy places. The other problem sounds like he is taking the piss, need to be firm. If he wont come back to you, go out and get him and bring him back to where you were. Firmly. Sounds to me as if the family environment may well be undoing any good work you have put in. Just my opinion.

    Agree with the above. Even if the kid managed to somehow get out of the house himself, wandering about at that time in the morning someone would have seen him, and if not he couldn't possible have gone that far. he's either been lifted out his bed, or lifted as he roamed the streets.

    Agreed. Some of the attitudes of so called 'sportsmen' these days is disgusting. Would prefer to have a slap on the back from their dickhead friends about the distance they dropped a fox or how many the shot in one night. It's laughable. Its these people who would think nothing of going back to shoot a stag they seen the day previous just to cut the head off. The sooner the sport gets rid of those types the sooner we can defend our self with confidence.

    Makes things massive and frightening to us at present (eg Climate Change) seem unimportant, considering at one point there was f**k all. In the grand scheme of things temperatures rising a few degrees may be devastating to us but is a bit irrelevant.

    The amount of idiots with guns these days is frightening. Common practice to drive around lamping from the roads, no permission, just blasting anything they see and leaving it to rot, deer included. Often wonder how they manage to get licences in the first place, by bullshitting I suppose
