    Why let it season and tbh mate I'm not sure of the reason of the gypsy tabs dunno !!!! just i always seasoned net stakes but thinking about it if it was oiled i suppose it would limit any cracking ! and the gypsy bands DO LOOK traditional and i do traditional ! ok next question if i used TUBES what should i start with for 10mm lead ? and any suggestions on size of pouch ?Looking forward to seeing it nxt wk Devon :-) atb

    I've just changed one of mine to the tab style you need to get out into the woods find a nice Y shaped fork ash saplings and ash are the best chance of finding a decent one to be honest sand it down and give it a Finnish or just leave It sanded and then attach leather tabs onto the end of forks then buy your elastic to fit onto the catty and you are awayGet a pic up mate

    I have one! Heats water and 4 rads. Gotta have a good supply of timber + space to store for seasoning. A constant temp throughout the house. Atb

    well i offered to get involved simply because no one else in scotland appeared to....theres pleny folk out there with more to offer than a part timer like myself but if I can help out in anyway i will, and that is what I said at the very beginning. Which group? Well I originally volunteered to offer any help I could to the new group which was being discussed, which is now called LAGBIGood! Go for it mate :-)
