  1. I have collie x's and Iv had more problems with mine than my mates have had with bull x's. Egnore 99% of the shit on here if bull x's were all nasty, hard mouthed, slow, bad feet etc why the hell is there so many lads using them and iv seen 4 maybe 5 bull x's run and every one had pros and cons but id have been more than happy with any of them. There all slightly differant you just have to take them as they come.
  2. Unfortunatly I wouldnt been seen dead on facebook so I cant geg in contact with him that way.
  3. Hi iv tried phoning the number on your website but not having any luck I think the numbers no good. Could you pm me a contact number please. Thanks.
  4. Suzuki jimny with 50 k on the clock silver with black bumpers and chrome bull bars on front. Just been serviced taxed and tested untill april. Perfect car for the dogs.
  5. My lurcher got attacked 3 or 4 times by a pet bull whippet whilst and mine was on the lead 2 of the times. its alright saying give the dog some shoe but when its flying round you and your dogs pulling its harder then you think. Now anything fawn or of bully or whippety build is a threat not to my mac. Its a right pain in the arse I have to lead him all the time because he was a pup when he got attacked but now hes 2 he can do some damage. Hes on the look out all the time for this particular dog and hes had his own back once so far. Cant stand arse hole dogs.
  6. Just seen 4 on the lamp in 2 joining fields but no bunnys :/ I planned to take the pup out but she seems to have a sore eye so iv called it a night to let her rest.
  7. Yeah im going out at half 7 with my older lurcher for a quick hour or so then hopefully get the pup on an unexpecting bunny before home time cant wait.
  8. Buzzards will even spread myxy. Theres buzzards and stacks of red kites on my permission and this time of year when most rabbits have gone to ground and are wary the myxy rabbits are easy pickings. And a buzzard can pick up a myxy rabbit and take it onto other places to eat. Same applies to foxes etc.
  9. From what lads have told me usually when there is a lot of rabbits on the ground after a good summer of breeding thats when mixy vhd and all other diseases spread fast and whipes them out. Luckily with VHD I think the disease dies off after a while and is spread through urine and bodily fluids unlike mixy which will lie dormant.
  10. Meg just stood listenning to the rabbits thumping whilst ferreting on Sunday.
  11. Ferreting for the future upholding a tradition. the picture on the front is in an oval border and its got him and his lurcher and hes carrying some rabbits. The backgrounds just some scenery and its like a grey ish colour back ground.
  12. I found around my area there is a few spots where rabbit will travel to above ground to feed on at night Which as whats been said already. They will probably travel away to somewere with more food which they feel has escape routes. I took me a while to work out why I would see lots of rabbits on the lamp and no holes in the day when I fetched a ferret. But an old chap I know with many years experience gave me the heads up. Atb Blake.
  13. Iv just read the latest simon whitehead book and it is fantastic. Its really up to date and he talks about all the old school ferret myths and ways and explains how things have changed in terms of feeding etc. I enjoyed it anyway.
  14. Yeah im jot sure what size without looking but im going to take a chance with a few poundland ones tomorow before a trip up north yorkshire
  15. Nail boards are alright so long as your in the area to stop lads with dogs etc and there better than all the other ideas. Ditches could potentially hurt people so will ply wood bridges. A nail board will simply let the tires down and get the car stuck without hurting anyone. Its up to whoever is using it to watch out for decent lads or dogs etc. Not a bad idea in my opinion.
  16. Hi all I was wondering how much you all pay for batteries to go in a mk1 collar I paid 5 quid each? And do you change them after every outing?
  17. Yeah you have a fair point their. The reason I said it was because I know of a keeper that used the method and it worked. What I did forget to mention is he was knocking about waiting. He was having a problem with some lads local.
  18. Get some nail boards laid down on the entrance to all the fields. They probably wont see and get themselves stuck and when they leave their motor cos they cant get it out the field torch the f****r.
  19. Mapplewell is more or less next village from me so il warn all lads I know. Il be honest only are lasses dog which looks like a feather duster and stands about 10 inches would make a noise. My lurcher would sooner cower in the corner than bark at an intruder.
  20. I know people thats houses back on to penine trail and it happened years ago but they had there kennels broken into and dogs taken. I dont know about other people but my dogs are inside infront of the fire and only when I move out and build an extremely secure pen and have some beast of a dog gaurding my kennels are my dogs going outside.
  21. I thought that all the painting peoples fences to indicate dogs was a load of shit at first but iv heard many reports round my area (Barnsley) and seen a few myself.
