Our country is run by criminals most if not all from way better backgrounds than 99% of the criminals. It may sound immature and stupid but I quite like hearing about people who didnt wanna just play ball. If this case was a bloke robbing a bank and noone got hurt I'd actually say good luck to him. Dont know f**k all aboutbhim but if hes shot 3 people that got in the way of a bank job or whatever then he should have been put to sleep. If it was an animal he would have been 6 foot under. Its us (or most of us) idiots Thats been paying for him to be kept alive in prison for what exactly. Hes no use to society what so ever. Too much human rights these days and society is nothing but unfair. The girlfriends just informed me shes off on holiday for a week at end of november. So im going to plan myself a mint week with the dogs etc. Up to now im planning on traveling to devon to see some hounds with one of the lads. What would you lot all get up to given the opportunity?

I have a mate i used to lamp with. Iv lost count of the amount of times hrs bailed on going lamping with me cos his dogs eaten whatever hes left hanging on his back wall for neighbours etc. His dog was prolific for it

I think the goverment should start dishing out pure heroin to them all to kill a few off. It would be a lot cheaper in the long run. Sick of working 60+ hours a week to move out and by a house for then cretins to be given one. Should be legal to hunt the fuckers! -
Very true. I had a dog at 6 months I occasionally let him come out with me and mouth rabbits just to get a feel for the job and it did him a world of good. On the other hand I have a bitch that I never took out she was too prey driven and taking her out and not letting her run would do nothing but stress her out. As for letting them have a run make sure there fit, the rabbits are easy and youve put the time in which im sure you have. There no given answer you just need to stack the odds in your favour.

My bitch has a similar problem shes fine for me and my grandparents who are the ones that walk them daily. But once a bluemoon if im working and my grandparents are away my dad has her out for me. He hasnt the patience for her and always egnores my advice and raises his voice to her so she turns it into a game of catch me you can. Dogs can be weird things.

Thanks for the help a few greyhound bone men have been mentioned thats not all that far away. After the trip to the vets on saturday il be going to one even if she is looking better. My vet wont charge me again for a second check up unless he has to give her anything so it wont hurt for her to get a second health check. I have a lot of faith in my vet he has had running dogs all his life so he has a good idea. But obviously not the expertese of a proper bone man. Thanks everyone.

I dont like rising to people but there is only one thing I cant take and that is to be made out like I dont do whats best for my dogs or not look after them etc. A few lads on here know me and the ones that do wont have a bad word to say about me. Iv took numerous lads off here out on my permissions, passed permissions on and done favours for lots of lads. My dogs are my life and if my dog was in need of urgent care then she would have got it. I asked for a bit of advice because im the kind of person who whittles about everything to me I wasnt happy about the situation so I wanted a bit of inf

Il be honest I do work mine all year round but im steady through the summer. all I do is use them for picking up and squirelling. but there walked hours everyday and all our walks turn into a hunt. I cant stop them working and id never try. Before anyone picks up on it the run she had the other day was a freak accident it was really hot and I went somewere I thought id avoid anything. Id have to be a moron to slip a dog in this heat. White feet your totally right though thats why I dont ferret or lamp even though I get asked.

Yeah fingers crossed a few days rest should shows signs of improvement. If it is this it would explain a lot of things maybe its my fault as she never showed signs of injury in the first instance iv been doing far far too much with her.

Dont want to get into a slanging match before this goes any further. Im not a numpty or anything I care no end for my dogs and if they were suffering I would have gone to an out of hour vets. Maybe my post sounded more severe than it was because I was worrying too much most people would probably through there dog in its kennel n leave it. That dog was in my bed all night where I could keep an eye on her. And as the vet said he thinks shes had a tumble and a bit of joint issues nothing major. Just got the results and im relieved but still worried. Its not what paulus mentioned or anything severe like that. The vet says its something skeletal. As I mentuoned she accidently chased somthing on thursday out of sight and I dont know what happened to her. Well she has some sprt of iritation on her throught that has caused the cough. But anyway he pulled her leg or somthing and it clicked and shes really stiff so he says she must have had some kind of impact. To cut a long story short hes given her an injection and 2 courses of tablets. She will hopefully be fine now he says if not shes

She wasnt bad untill 9 last night ish and shes going to the vet soon as it opens. Had a bad experiance with abbey vets at barnsley so no chance would I take her there unless it was something extreme. Like I said im at work and I have transport to the vet organised for her already. And its a good job I asked on her because what paulus mentioned to me is somthing I may not have thought to tell the vet unless he asked. So it is always a good thing to ask on places like here as there are many people with lots of good information.

Okay thanks for the advice I probably wouldnt have thought of her run been a cause. Iv been phoning non stop hoping that someone will be in the vets but it doesnt open while 9 and nobody is on the phone. And I will never ever put any of my pets in a vets4pets ever again this is the only vet I have faith in. Are you from the barnsley area paulus?

Im not sure about lost mass but last night she was walking and standing funny. It seemed to be that it was her back end that was causing this and it was as if one side was out of line with the other as she was walking and when she was stood still the muscle on her hips was spasming a bit.

Il ask who ever is at home to check that. I know shes been drinking as normal or atleast I think she has been but this morning she was panting at 5am when I was up for work to go out which is unlike her.

I vaguely remember her putting up something accidently on thursday after a bit of bushing which was exhausting for her but shes been out a few times since. I thought at first could she have pinched a bone n got it stuck or somthing? But shes eaten loads drank loads and been to the toilet loads and there now solid stools so that kinda rules that out I hope. Iv prodded and poked her everywhere and I cant pinpoint any pain or discomfort. Soon as vets are open shes off I just cant put my mind to rest especially when im at work.

I know nobody can answer this 100 percent especially without seeing the dog but just after peoples opinions. Before I go any further I tried to get her to a vet last night but no joy and she wasnt exactly on deaths door and shes going to the vets at 9.00 when they open. Heres the symptoms: Started with a little cough on saturday Then was a little quiet which got progressivly more down in herself. Bit of shits on sunday. Shes been eating loads and yesterday she had a few solid poos. But then yesterday at about 8 she started shaking a little and her back end gone really weak. Struggled to
