  1. Mitch i`ve got a bloody essay here on how to upload but got my son to show me and i wrote it of a fashion . Wait `tll Mac sees what a .177 T Rex springer can do in an hour and a half of decoying the twat, . atb
  2. Experimenting lads have patience as i am learning
  3. .The T Rex .177 lads, awesome springer.
  4. Well, went to the gunsmiths and picked up the RWS Excaliber,- one gorgeous stock but (for me) "dated", old. I was not keen on .22 to start with but was intrigued with the hype i have read, not any more, i did not like the magazine at all , no pressure guage, missing silencer, missing sling £500 no way . So i will keep the HW 100 ks .22. I did, however, buy the Primos Shooting Sticks( tripod gen` 2) and what a difference to my £30 cheapo`s, my rifles felt set in stone in the Primos, absolutely "rock solid" and stuck firm on aim . So s
  5. You told my son you "shit stirring twat" I`m thicker than concrete with computers Mitch
  6. Rez i know mate, "i know", i`ve bought the camera, you`ve seen a "little" of my hunting forays but i need to be taught how to upload photos onto here ? Old school, not good with computers you see.
  7. Would you recommend the HW 77 Mike ? (just pulling your leg mate) - great rifle
  8. Welcome Huw. I am near Wigan if it helps and can guide you to the local clubs - Cheshire is a big place, where are you ? HW 100`s in the format of your choice or a very, very close second and half the cost, BSA Ultra se. atb (all the best)
  9. Finished early today and took myself and the T Rex to the farm yard again. Utterly dead, for must have been 2 hours, when a loud "Cawwwww" sounded from the large phone mast. Kept my finger on the bear trap and silent as i could, cocked the AA T Rex and gently settled the Mamba cross hairs on the Jackdaw`s heart/lungs, built my shot and squeezed off "Whack" ! and the Jackdaw crumpled. I`m loving this T Rex (.177) - just awesome. atb
  10. Wondered where you was Mac what took you ? I fancy the classic Excaliber mate but not the calibre and would have to compromise,- might not happen yet Mac as i own the HW 100 ks already and she is as good as brand new,- she is not used. The same gunsmith has a Raider in .177 on the shelf for £275 in very good order too. - just saying
  11. Thank`s Tom - very kind gesture but i couldn`t live with myself if anything happened . Yep i have read so, so much about the Excaliber after a lot of looking, i too like the look of the Rapier but little info about it. FWB Sport 124/ 127 is on my classic list too, shot them for nigh on 40 years exclusively with fine results. Thank You anyway Tom
  12. Yes Viz and thanks but i am "toying with part ex against it" but the part ex would be my little used HW 100 ks. I have heard and read so many outstanding reviews on this rifle that i am very tempted indeed. I have the choice of two in the morning and value the lads thoughts on here inc` yours - decision time in the morning, but i am far from convinced with p/exing my HW 100 just yet . If i like her i will just buy her i think on condition of a service if i can. (gunsmiths) Let your mate know Viz but it is happening quickly it seems.
  13. Matty what was the sweet spot and what was the recommended pressure to fill to please ? I can purchase one for £500 in very good order is that about right ? cheers
  14. Lads some advice please, The RWS Excaliber in .22 cal - are they as good as i hear ? They look a very handsome rifle and i am able to get one in .22 although i prefer .177 which i am told is virtually impossible to get in this country ? Is the Excaliber better than the HW 100 in .22 ? Thank You Lads
  15. Proper gun B N hope your mate is not allergic to nuts atb
  16. Compliments on that shot placement ftm - proper shooting . Your lawn wants cutting though. Oh and your lady of the house has dropped a red peg. atb
  17. Put the roast in, Sunday you see then sneaked off to the farm yard for an hour and a half. Parked my mobile hide, (the van), approx` 35yds away from the large oak and waited, - i took two Jackdaws, both crumpling to head shots. These T Rex`s are bloody awesome springers in .177 cal . atb
  18. Wel done LTM - as said, don`t forget to write up your experiences please. p.s. Welcome by the way.

  21. I had a swift hour at the farm yard Wednesday and took another Magpie with the T Rex. Full on boiler room shot at just 30 yds with A A Fields , Captain was out like a light, just crumpled and fell. I cannot recommend this springer enough . Good luck Viz, you will not be disappointed. atb
  22. Edging sheers need a bit of oil. that brush should be in it`s bucket. Really nice set of rifles ftm Good luck Greg
