  5. You could make you'd own poly tunnel, As said rain water isn't a drastic problem, it wets the edge of the logs but doesn't really soak through. I just keep a few piles by the log burner to dry them fully

  10. Well you learn something new everyday. Ive never noticed it before but then ive had two Baikal single 12's and a single Baikal .410 and they didn't do it. Quite annoying really I'd rather it open enough to fit shells in haha
  11. I bought a second hand Spanish sxs a few days ago and it seemed fine in the shop, had a test fire and all was okay so I bought it. On the first day out I noticed when I open the chambers the barrels dont quite drop enough to get the shells in. I have to pull the barrels Down another 1mm or the brass catches the action. Its not a great issue its just something I know it shouldnt be doing. Does anyone know how to fix this or is it just one of those things we have to live with? Billy
  12. If you know anyone in the army see if they can get you a tin of gun oil. That's what I use and where my guns are stored is very cold but I dont have a problem with rust

  17. I have just fitted mine myself into my static, I was recommended a 3kw but I bought a 6.5 as I thought I'd rather it be too big than too small. I also wanted it big enough to be able to chuck a decent sized log on. It was piss easy to install myself however its only a 2m flue and cost me around £600 all in. That was seriously shopping around as I was on a budget. Best thing ive bought for a while though . Its blowing a gale outside and its 1degree but I'm sat by the fire warm as toast . Its definitely worth doing if you can and yer they might cost a bit to set up but then think th

  21. Also to add to the getting stuck, I used to try and get mine stuck in bogs and half up steep inclines etc. I only put it in 4wd a handful of times as it just didn't need it to get out! Put a decent set of tyres on it and a defender will just eat whatever you throw at it!
  22. Ive had a 300tdi 90 pick up g reg and I miss it like f**k! Had a suspension lift and 33" tyres on it and ive never seen anything like it off road. It cost £5500 fully kitted out and I never had to lift the bonnet for anything other than maintenance. Fuel gauge - no, speedo - no, radio - no etc etc but the engine was spot on as was the body. Only owned one jap car (Mitsubishi galant v6) spent my life and wallet under the bonnet of that heap! I wouldn't mind either it was one elderly owner from new with full service history! Also insurance wise I was 19 when I had it as a second c
