Did I mention the rifle whose name we dare not speak............. ? I know I'll probably a quota of 'you can't polish a turd' replies, but I got it for nowt, so what the........ I'm still a bit of a novice technically speaking, but I want to learn the intricacies of repair, tweaking, tuning and what have you and it seemed too good an opportunity to turn down. It's in good nick and shots nice and straight, but like I said it's just a learning curve really, so anyone have any ideas *.......................... ? Cheers lads ! How about ........................... no more payments for playing for England ! They're only paid a couple of thousand or so per match (ONLY !), so the sanction here isn't financial. But the next time we squeeze a draw against San Marino or thrash Lichtenstein 1 - 0, the players wouldn't have the comfort of being able to console themselves by banking more than most of us earn in a month ! Maybe we could instill some personal and national pride by making sure that's all they have to play for ?? It might mean more to them than money ?? Just an idea...........................

I watched the Costa Ricans singing their anthem earlier - chins up, chests out and at the tops of their voices. They almost seemed to physically grow bigger, but our sorry shower, well....................... When our group was drawn, it was thought that everyone would beat Costa Rica, and England, Italy and Uruguay would duke it out for the second round. So how have this tiny country, which most couldn't find on a map, reached the second round with a match to spare, while our 'superstars' have been made to look ordinary - in fact, 'ordinary' would probably be an improvement ! Shambolic

I get 50 marbles for a quid ! Cheap, easy to get hold of and much less suspicious to be seen with ! Never, ever had one break either. On the down side, range is a lot less than BB's, but you can't have everything....................
