Had to post this query here really, as it relates to a pet dog. I hope you'll bear with through the background info ....................... My wife's mother has a rescue dog - a JRT X, age uncertain but she's had him about 7 years, and he's quite overweight. She walks him as best she can, but she's in her 70s. Around 3 years ago, he had some digestive problems (don't know exactly what), and was passing blood - very unpleasant ! The vet put him on Purina Veterinary EN dry complete, saying he needed a low fat diet, and to lose some weight, to prevent any further problems. "3kg bag -

Getting back on track..................... The Scouts and Girl Guides currently report their highest memberships - seems odd when some kids are afraid to go out. So, could it be class issue ? Are Scouts and Guides predominantly what we could call 'middle class', more engaged with their parents and more encouraged by them ? Just an idea ................................

Do you really reckon there weren't nonces about? I reckon there were just as many sickos then. They just seem more prevalent these days due to the internet. Don't you remember all those "Don't talk to strangers" talks? Yes of course there was..........most noncing is done by people in trust anyway & often go's unreported.....definitely more paranoia about kids getting snatched off the street though.... Child abduction and murder has shown a steady , sustained and continued decline over the last 30 years.............FACT

God, this is depressing......................... A couple of seperate surveys have shown that 30% of children have never climbed a tree, and nearly 50% would rather do their homework than play outside.! 40% say that they play outside less than they would like to, while a worrying 20% are outdoors for less than an hour a week ! ( Most of us probably walk our dogs for longer than that a day !) Most parents won't even let the children camp out overnight in the garden. What I find most sad about this, is that it seems to have now gone beyond parental paranoia - fears of accident

I'll give you a real eyewitness account of a Bible story......... A woman has been found guilty of adultery and is about to be stoned to death. The condemned woman begs the crowd for mercy, but they are determined to punish her. Jesus stands in front of the crying woman, addresses the crowd and says 'Whoever here is without sin may cast the first stone!'. A couple of seconds later a bloody great stone comes whistling past, narrowly missing him. He points to a woman in the crowd and says ' Mother - keep out of this !'

I've been thinking of using the 'over - tube' method just because I think it looks tidier ! (Like I said, I've only ever used flats, secured with a 'wrap and tuck'.) I'll give it a go - cheers boys !

That statement makes no sense whatsoever. You can't prove that something does not exist, and creation has not been justified. Science may not have all the answers, but blind faith has no answers at all. And still no answers to my questions.........

I don't think I'm head - hunting , at least. All I've done is ask you to provide some proof for something that you believe to be true,or at least answer some basic theologian questions. All you have done is dodge the issue and chase your own tail. You keep saying there's proof everywhere, but where and what is it ? I respect your right to believe anything you choose, but please remember that 'blind faith' and 'proof' are polar opposites, my friend.

I will clearly state that my belief is that God does NOT exist. However, you can't prove that something doesn't exist, so if your telling me that I'm wrong, then I'm going to need some proof. Proof that goes beyond a book of dubious age, written by unknown writers to suit their own agenda, and changed countless times for countless reasons. Finally, before I bid this thread farewell............... To anyone who believes that the Bible is a factual account, I would offer one word............................ DINOSAURS !

Let's ask you the same question, Brian. After all, if your asking us to believe that the Bible is true, surely the onus is on you to offer some proof ?
