  4. She's looking very well, may not have the bushy tail, but the bright eyes are certainly there, hard to tell without seeing the cut but you could try antiseptic wound powder can be good for drying up and scabbing over the minor cuts, you're not having much luck with dogs feet lately are you mate atb lad

  7. All the best with them PP,my youngest dog is 8 in july,I remember sitting in the shed with my old bitch when she was spewing them out good feeling to have the next batch of hopefuls on the scene, cant wait to get my next pup atb
  8. Can quite believe it mate,I've seen 3 dead badgers on a 2 mile stretch of the A19 this is an area where up until recently you would'nt even see one on the lamp, never come across any setts either
  9. Oh right,I was reading about asil's not so long ago, unreal strength, they say their fights could last for days sometimes, obvious by pictures what they we're designed for,a lad I know tried keeping some red leg partridges in a large aviary, what a mess they made of eachother eyes hanging out on sockets ffs,no wonder they call them game birds atb
  10. Must be nice to live in an area where there is a variety of deer species to be seen, nothing but roe up here in the north east, must say though I reckon roe venison is a bit better than fallow for the cooking, what is sika like and what part of the country do you see them,I hear you have to go further down country than lincoln to see munty and cwd aswell, wish they would get their little rubbery arses up the road
  11. I thought the Asil was a big hardcase fighting bird, and the Indian game that I have seen were'nt what I would call small either
  12. Dont know about eagles, but my saluki crosses have introduced themselves to a few birdies that sat tight for a second or two longer than they should have, hedge bottoms are'nt always the safest of places for the old flying chickens
  13. Deer are a prey species once a decent dog has made contact they are pretty much fecked, dont mistake spindly legs and hairy ears as a sign of weakness, the saluki hybrids prey drive and determination wont let you go hungry
  14. I feed a mixture of Red mills racer/tracker,with some meat, green tripe or minced beef/chicken,like to add a bit of whole carcass now and then aswell, like the look of your red dog there looks a good un atb IP
  15. Know what you mean, they can put you in a very awkward position, often when you least expect it,dont know if they are the same in all parts of the country, but the squirrels in my haunts always seem to have a big old bouncy white tail end
  16. Three hours of rain only in the lakes eh,i'm on the opposite side of the country and the sunshine is cracking the pavement, not be able to take my veterans on the hill til it cools down a bit, young Boots has got some back on him looking stronger and more mature every time you put pics up,do you feed the 55% stuff to the older dogs aswell or is it just for the growing dogs atb
  17. Baseline bred lurchers perhaps but greyhounds saturated hounds no chance. The ground conditions alone would destroy their feet, wrists and shoulders on no time trust me on that one. . Excuse me for not being clear, I mean our uk coursing dogs in particular the ones ran on the fens. arent the fens below sea level? thats why you must allways take a catty with you To hell with the catty I'd be taking a coracle incase of flash floods
  18. would it effect mobility scooters? only the petrol ones the electric ones are ok as long as the charger has a two pin plug on What about the duracell scooters would the altitude affect there off road ,capabilities,I hear they are unstoppable
  19. Nothing like it mate, shame the anti's cannot experience what we feel superb sight ,And the man in the rain picked up his bag of secret's and journeyed up the mountainside far above the clouds, and nothing was ever heard from him again, except for the sound of ????????
  20. Could be true, not so easy for the strong silent type geordie boys to blow into a pretty girls ear as it is for the more southern impressario
  21. Got to hand it to them, they must have 100% catch rate eagle and dog ffs,now I know the real meaning of double handed, but was there really any need to use a dog to catch an escaped pet rabbit,I could have caught that with concrete wellies on
  22. Had a few old english game (furness),very high pitched vocal little birds, good layer's but too noisy for me as I keep them in back garden, got a little mixed flock now including a couple of silkies they are real quiet look like miniature alpacas
