  2. Just remembered, that kinder chocolate runs it pretty close and all..
  3. Clematis is nasty stuff, its a climber..
  4. We got one of the biggest tidal ranges in the world here on these islands, it comes in and goes out twice a day without fail. The tide is the future of green energy in this country, not these poxy wind turbines and solar parks that only work to their best potential when the weather is suitable. At least until they nail nuclear fusion..
  5. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/boxing/32471527 Will happen, and how will it go?

Tanygroes car dismantlers in Cardigan is probably the closest one to him isn't it?
  7. Like you, I ain't led the perfect life mate. Think it makes it worse as a parent because you know what's out there sort of thing and what sort of trouble can be found. The problem with getting it across to your kids is that sooner or later they're going to go their own way and make their own mistakes anyway, irrespective of the solid advice you've been giving to them all their lives. The way I look at is you can only do your best to guide them as they make their way along their own journey, you can't set their destination and designate the stops along the way. Life would be so much easier if y
  8. Found this on Facebook: In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Louisiana State University . On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully. He got down on one knee, inspected the elephants foot, and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, Peter worked the wood out with his knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man and w
  9. My nan once said my grandad done a lot more with us than he done with his own kids. Understandable really, apart from the first decade or so of my life he was retired. My stepdad was pretty good, until he started spending all his time in the pub. I stayed home with the youngest while the wife went back to work. Made sense because I was in and out of hospital having knee ops at the time.
  10. Happy birthday BB! Snap TC Hey I wished you happy birthday elsewhere, didn't think you'd want such a significant milestone brought to attention on here.. I did think about doing a thread..
  11. I don't think that that is entirely fair. This was a time when it was common place for the 'elite' to serve their country. And before you say from the safety of an officers quarters, I believe I am right in saying that the Etonian Alumni suffered more than their fair share of deaths and casualties in the first world war, reflecting society of the day. Human life was pretty cheap at that time. Actually you're right that wasn't fair, plenty of the upper classes died alongside the working classes in WW1. All different these days though, how many politicians sons died in Iraq/Afghan?

    Strange

I know this much, your constant use of "lol" on this thread indicates to me you're using this horrific case to score points..

    Master Chef

Started watching it again this year. Gave it a miss last year but seen most of them since its been the new format..
  14. Have to be your locals mate.. As I told you before, the few remaining proper locals round here rarely venture further than the signs that denote the limit of whichever town or village they were born in!
  15. There's loads of solar farms round here and all mate. 3 just down the road in Tiers Cross, a few up Clarby road way, a few down towards Angle/Pwlcochran and possibly others.
  16. 5 years mate, then they start earning you about £12,000 a year apparently..
  17. Its quite sensitive really mate.. I think a lot of the migratory birds they shoot are protected in other areas for various reasons.. It's tough to make a judgement for me because on the one hand I like songbirds and find the mass shooting of them hard to stomach, but on the other it's nothing to do with me what hunting traditions other folk might have in other countries..
  18. Using the old racist card? Perfectly justified in this case, seeing how the fat slag once said that black women make better mothers than white women a while back..
  19. I know, he's only been here 5 minutes and he's chopping our trees down and pissing about with our bees.. Much more of it and im going to rouse the locals and march on him..
  20. Did you notice if it had a forked tail when it was flying?

    Any Joiners Here ?

Marine ply is the best followed by WBP.(hardwood faced..) As long as you keep on top of any plywood with preserver it will last years anyway. Its what the plys are stuck together with that is most relevant rather than what type of wood its made off. Thats what a joiner colleague told me when I asked the same question of him years ago..
