  1. Target gun only...? go for the savage, the stock is good, trigger is also of a standard like any other after market trigger, so thats about 200 quid right there, it is also piller beded another 200 or so, And has a proven track record of being accurate, the only downside to the savage is it doesn't come with adj, cheek piece.... to make it more SHOOTER friendly..... But that still wouldn't put me off... you get what you pay for, plain and simple, both good rifles but at different tasks.... Snap.
  2. Shot the very odd one years ago, but they are plentyful here, And believe it or not they were for the pot... an ol boy used to cook them in their own blood..... Snap.
  3. Kay you've just made me smile today....lol thank you..x
  4. i'm sure the 28" will do you fine mate.... i'm not that technical with shotties, sounder would be the fella, as he's into his clay shooting.... Snap.
  5. Mate, i'd suggest you get phospher too, as they WILL get the stuff the hylon brush simply won't shift...... the key is to use a good solvent, 1 or two passes per round fired should do with the phos.brush.... happy hunting mate. Snap.
  6. Never heard of it before in my life mate.....!!!!! and i'm over 6 2" if its for a hunting rifle i'd suggest its very long at 28 or 30 inches... if target, then 30 inches varminting gun 28 would be fine. Snap.
  7. Thank you muttle, i'm trying my best to come to term with the camera, and figuring out f-stops and aperature and stuff....lol i'll take that as a compliment coming from someone such as yourself... i really would like to get a quality zoom lens but can't at the minute due to money pressures with legal fees for purchase of lands.... its been dragging its heels and i've hired a large legal team to settle it once and for all.... but who knows i may sell somw stuff soon and just splash out. i find it great way to forget most of my troubles... and just concentrate on surroundin
  8. it does indeed sound like low pressure, And should go with a heavier load as stated, also check the primer pockets to make sure the primer is not too loose a fit, when seating it. Snap.
  9. http://www.6mmbr.com/243Win.html Well i shot mine to 530 yards last week and got 2 1/2 inch group.... 5 shots, three where inside a 1 1/2 inch v-bull.... in a good breeze... i outshot a few .270's a sako trg22, and a few 22-250's and a .204.... Just my humble opinion that its a good calibre for all diciplines... given the right twist rate, build choice, etc. Snap.
  10. unless your shooting of a bench, go for the tilt, as ground is never level, and the cant of the rifle will change the poi slightly... So spend the extra bucks and get the swivel one... HARRIS.. if you can go the extra cash its worth it. Snap.
  11. Wound powder is good, and aluspray.. for those cuts slow in healing.... mainly used on horses but good for dogs, cats too...
  12. its not that hard to fire two different bullets and then write the adjustment down so you don't have to go to the range to re-zero.... i do it all the time... And do NOT see what the hassle is... Snap.
  13. check out maplins electronics they have terabyte external hard drives for very good money.. i have to invest soon, but maybe a new lens first... and maybe a jeep change.... too, i need the lottery...... lol Snap.
