    Looking to go for a few long range shots i landed at the permission i have to see the farmer now a close friend of mine in a bit of a fix, 16 ewes plus one of the st bernards, were giving birth.. 3 ewe's had bother all with large singles so we worked as fast as we could, and managed to save 2 lambs, but the third ewe was under real stress, and lost a massive lamb, it was all we could do to try and free it from her... but the vet couldn't make it for a c section... covered in cleanings and blood by this stage we managed to sort the rest out in a few hours.... and the st. bernard was p

    i tend to move the col back 5 thou at a time, but gererally now just stick to 20 thou as it seems to be spot on every time... i just test 105g a-max in the .243, and its shooting into .3 of an inch on first trials....!!!!!!! so i think my testing finished already....lol Snap.

    it all depends on the rifle mate, some rifles like a jump back from the lands, and others like to be seated touching the lands, most reloading books quote that for hunting rifles the SWEET SPOT is in around 20 to 40 thou of the lands, with most of the bullets i shoot i have found this to be true..     Always fire a 5 shot group myself to gauge the quality of said rounds.... i agree that 3 shots just doesn't cut the mustard to gauge accuracy...INCOMING.......lolSnap.

    that bugger of a curlew scared the life outta me he was behind a rock.... and took off like a rocket..... i had the camera switched off, and the lens cap on...!!!!! As i was nearing the end of my lunchbreak.... so it was all i could do to get the bugger in the frame....lol And i simply didn't have time to do anything with the images... so just posted anyway... thanks for the comment...
