  3. The Law is a bloody joke in this day and age.............people minding their own business and some scum cause havoc, and get away with it. Also how can they be employed if they are not being paid............it's just silly, you would think this would come under free help, rediculous,
  4. Thank's mate. It was gusting and fooking hot today but what the hell i thought and it didn't turn out to bad. i had to give up shortly after as the heat mirage just started the target jumping in the scope........... nice to lob a few at long range........ lets you know whats happening out there.
  5. What weight bullet head are you using, also do you notice any tumbling on paper targets. maybe just hit bone. also what brand are you using...............
  6. i've seen GWP's do an excellent job tracking deer, i'd seriously think about one of these if you need it, plus they are good pets, but need a hell of alot of attention.
  7. nice one v-max, great to see......
  8. Welcome dave & gina.................

  10. Welcome longbow, enjoy finding your way around i'm on here a while now and still can't grasp it all so don't worry someone will help you out if your stuck........................
  11. i think the backup service from leupold was excellent, when i bought mine it came without an allen key to adjust the zero setting on the turrets. An e-mail to america and i had two in the post three Day's later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! fooking excellent........i thought.
  12. i think the picture is well taken from an artistic point of view. i think the lipstick is O.T.T. (over the top) but she looks far older than 15. i like something about her eyes, shes a stunning young girl, who maybe under pressure did this photo shoot. but 15 is a touch young........... P.S. i'm no perv. But it's a messed up world we live in today....................
  13. Carrying on from yesterdays fun. i decided to go for a shot even though it was gusty just for the fun of it. The sun was shining nearly square onto me and made shooting very difficult. i set up at 500 yards for the craic and challenge in the wind and got this. the first four shots are 2 3/4 inches centre to centre. i'm shooting uphill at an angle of about 25 degrees. adjusting down a few clicks achieved this below the group. and then i adjusted to shoot inside the target. the wind was gusting at about 10 to 20 mph left to right........ not bad for 500 i think.......
  14. i've got a tikka M595 with t8 mod harris swivel bi-pod, butler creek caps, snipers adjustable neoprene check piece. Also a CZ 452 american .17hmr hawke target scope 10x40x50 harris bench rest bi pod swivel. And shottie is a browning GOLD FUSION 12G semi auto.
  15. i use the leupold 6.5 x 20 x 50 LR/T M1. it's got 72 moa in elevation so is fun to try at the longer ranges.
  16. i would get some-one willing to dispatch them for the farmer. then you would save face and the farmer would remain happy........ but namely some-one you could rely on..... or feed the area so the foxes have enough to eat. with rabbits if possible and alot........that way the lambs should at least get a fighting chance.
  17. This is the person who is allowing you to shoot on thier land, And if presented with a problem to which you could solve then i would take them out. Even though i don't like too, i've done this recently and shot 1 dog fox and two vixens suckled. i don't like too do it, but when faced with it. it has to be done. So you should do the farmer the service he so needs at this time. If you don't someone else will be willing, so to keep the farmer happy and keep the right to keep on hunting the land i would sort the problem out..... REMEMBER word will travel of the service done or not done.........
  18. I mainly spend sunday's lobbing round's down at the make shift range. As i did today, but going back and forward across a few ditches on the side of a hill is exhausting, but worthwhile.......... As i enjoy the stress release it gives me, before hitting work the next day.
  19. So people i headed of today to a field with my lamping pal, to let him take a few shots at some targets. The weather was excellent and the heat mirage was something else so we went back to his till it cooled a little, We set up a target board at 300 yards and i let him take his first few shots, Which he pulled all over the place. He's new to rifles but has shot shotguns for years. i was consistant putting the 58 grain v-max into 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches at three hundred yards of the ground on the shooting mat, prone. i was well chuffed that i was getting such good results. HAPPY DAYS.
  20. i'm going to be a dog in the next life..........
  21. stunning shot there mate. really like it. well done.
  22. Looks like i opened up a can of worms...................... i'll go and crawl under a stone for a while
  23. Almost perfect being the word here, i'm not saying it won't kill roe effectively, but look at the damage to meat, which would not be lost with the correct bullet. The 58g will lack consistantcy if not placed effectively all the time. happy hunting,
