Well people just thought i'd give ye a we update on the weather situation were i live. it hasn't rained here in three weeks, Donegal believe it or not. today the temp. is currently 21 degree's and rising. Not good for the hay fever, but i'm managing ok. not too bad yet. So hope your all getting the same were you are. And if any of you stray from the tatto posts, today would be a good day to have them on show........................ Espically the one with the stars............................. synthetic, For the irish weather, for the simple fact that it's tough, light, dosen't warp in extremes of temperature or humidity. In the type of shooting irish stalkers tend to be in, most perfer synthetic for the simple reason it's tougher in the elements.

well the first rifle i ever used was a remington .22 and i just didnt like anything about it,also anyone iv asked has sold their remmie or would never buy one again unless it was a 700 Since I don't shoot deer and don't intend to (as yet anyway) I would go for a .223 for foxes. I had a long reply written but lost it so this is the shorter version. I think ruling out Remingtons for that reason is a mistake. I own a Remington VL SS .223, it's shoots a considerable way better than my Tikka T3 Varmint did. I don't say all rifles are the same, I only compare those two individual rifles. Out

i use the lyman turbo twin tumbler, its got to bowels with it very silent compared to most built in thermo control in case of overheating, a great piece of kit. would highly recommend one.

shauny, there is no need for ultrasonic cleaning in cases as far as i'm concerned, if you use treated corn curnels with some case cleaning fluid or a slight touch of brasso works great. Throw in the fifty cases and switch on the tumbler for around 5 to 6 hours i find leaves them like a new pin so to speak. i've been reloading for 12 years using this technique and have never noticed why i would have to change it.

if ever in doubt about powder weight for any bullet loads go to the next heaviest bullet up the scale this way you will always be using a lighter powder weight, always start at the least lowest grain weight and work up slowly looking for signs of pressure....................

burgeon and ball or CK are good. alot of farmers our way use CK.
