7-08 is a good calibre mate, but the bullet choice is not near as good as the .308, plus not many fd's stock this calibre bullet, and it may have to go special order for them meaning costly..... i'd go for the .308 personally....... greater rifle choice too...

maybe a different calibre bullet in a gun that was of a similar calibre, or obstruction in the barrel........

try the 129 grain sst bullet by hornady, it's an excellent bullet for deer and loaded with n160 should give you about 2800 fps.

Hello and welcome mate, sadly bow hunting is illegal here, hence there is no section for it, but many do shoot at target boards with bows, and archery is very popular, our hunting laws are strict on what can be hunted with what............? Snap.
