True story , My mate had obviously told his wife to apologise to me ,a few weeks later I am shopping with the wife in asda and we bump into her "sorry for pooing in the taxi " then walked away ,I had a great afternoon explaining it all to my missus

Years ago while working the door I spotted a mates wife looking proper pissed leaving the club ,so I stayed with her til I got a local cabbie who I knew and trusted to take her home ,twenty minutes later he comes back covered in shit ,turns out she had somehow squatted on the passenger seat and took a shit on him ,I calmed him down and told him I would zee her husband next day to get him a few Bob ,valet ,loss of earnings new clobber etc ,so next day I goes to see the husband and tactfully as I could explained the situation ,he just sighed ,gave me a good bung and apologizes for the cabbie and

There have been many ,many great fighters over the years and its fun to argue and compare records ,opponents etc but for me the crucial question is ,did they redefine the sport ,did they bring something to the table that the sport had never seen before ? Only two fighter meet this criteria in my own very humble opinion ,and its no surprise that young Gnasher has mentioned them both .

Its not a list of the best ever Gnash ,just a few who (to me )had that special something on top of talent ,that magnetism that makes everyone around them look up to them ,they naturally have a way about them that makes them special ,no posing ,posturing ,tantrums from these people ...just class

As in life some players just have that something extra ,that special touch of class about them that sets them apart ,and I don't just mean talent ,I mean that indescribable touch of something special ,Eusabio ,Beckenbaur,Moore ,de Stephanio ,Puskas Defoe ....etc ,but Pele took it one step further ,a once in a lifetime player .

"Good player " !!! Talk about damming with faint praise ,that's like saying DaVinci was a decent all rounder ,that Michaelangelo could do a bit of chiseling ,that Vemeer was OK at painting . Pele was so much better than good ,he transcended the game of football .he was poetry ,a wonderful sight on the pitch ,a perfect mix of athleticism ,balance ,skill and vision,with an unselfishness and work ethic of a Sunderland miner ,he was so far ahead of his time it was surreal . I got to see him play when I was a boy ,and 50 years later its still one of my favourite memories of football .
