My old mate [ stand up Steve ] was in a bar in co Wicklow years ago at the end of the night the Irish national anthem played ,he didn't recognise it so obvs never stood up ,he got kicked all over the place ,now when a unfamiliar song comes on the jukebox wherever he is ,he stands up ,says he will never fall for it again ?

The point I'm trying to make is ...if the middleweight limit for some reason was stretched to 14 stone ,then some run of the mill cruiserweight today would be capable of beating any middleweight in history ,....would that make him the best middleweight ever ?.....heavyweights are so much bigger nowadays but that doesn't make them the best ....and yes I know there were giants in the past ,but they were few and far between ,so rare that most on here could name them ...I personally don't give a rats ass about Fury Wilder AJ ,they are all crap in comparison to some of the fighters of the past .

Your probably right ,what ifs ?is a bit daft ,and the fact is there is nobody out there at the moment to beat him ,BUT that's because he's a light house not because he has any exceptional talent at the sport he's a champion in .

I have learned that it's pointless having a discussion about Fury with a Fury fan as opposed to a boxing fan ,and yet there are people who I respect who rate him .....for me I will NEVER go along with this nonsense that he "moves well " he dosnt . Prancing about out of instance is not good footwork ,it's not even footwork ,it's just prancing ,over the years his other attributes have gone from fkn abysmal to ordinary ,if he wasn't 9 ft tall he would be lucky to fight for a British title .

To be fair to fury ,I have seen an improvement since he went with a decent trainer ,if he keeps it up he may one day be on a par with Jack bodell or even Richard Dunn .

Of course I do ,let's be honest out of the thousands of members on here ,he's the one I think needs defending the most ,I mean it's not like he can formulate a decent argument ,or look after himself is it ,maybe that's why he's such a good runner come to think of it .

Just to clarify.,I meant no disrespect to Wilf or his views ,and yes you may well be right ,if an open ,honest public debate was allowed 30 years ago , society might not be as polarised as it seems to be nowadays .
