  1. Yep, pole dancer of the year...Southport heats...!
  2. From that photo, you can tell what puts me a class above the other Mods... Sock suspenders...!
  3. Simon, there is a post asking this question about every 3 days on here, not that your wrong in asking but if you trawl back through the lurcher posts, you'll see 'em, with many differing answers. It's worth a read. Gather all the info you can and make an informed choice. As for my two penneth worth, first off, don't be too hasty, don't jump at the first thing you see, do your homework... Look to parents of average size 22"-24", that are well worked, make sure the parents are of racy type and you won't go far wrong. Best of luck.
  4. Yes mate, owned by a mate from Wigan, he also owned the Cowan bred bitch. There were also a few Tyson bred dogs in this city at the time too. A bit 'gassy', as many Lakies can be but hard as feck on quarry, too hard usually..!

    Oh Feck

Bitter pil to swallow Tuffty but feck me, you've started with the most positive outlook, keep that up mate and the best of British to ya..
  6. Fuji, she was a great bitch on edible gear, bags of stamina and caught gear from up Scotch to Kent. Funny but like a lot of this blood, lamping hares was her specialty and even though she ran 'em well local, it wasn't till we headed far north that I really seen what she was made of. Gentle easy going girl too, just a joy to own and run, though if I'm honest I did push her too hard sometimes. I never bred anything from her, she died, aged 7 in a collision when a young dog slipped its collar, sickener...!
  7. Fawn, on the right, out of MR's Obo to a collie/grey.
  8. My old bitch Tess would be a litter brother to the sire. As I said via PM Thomas.. Very nice..
  9. Another classic case of 'mind what you post' on here, because it always should be about the 'bigger picture'..
  10. Just some pics of terriers I owned back in the 's.. This was a Tyson/Cowen bred Lakie pup, bought off Big Kevin from Wigan. Both parents were damn good earth dogs. The growed up version. Good digging dog himself, leggy but could get, hard fecker too. If his coat grew out he had a Beddy top knot. This was a Park bred dog out of Mick, showed a lot of promise, sadly he was stolen before he really made the grade.
  11. Sort of mate.. Though as much as I love lookin at others pics, I feckin hate both taking and uploading my own. I was rooting today, found some an finally caved in to technology..!!
  12. Another of Bella for ya Fuji. She was really shaping up to sommat, damn shame...
  13. Great stuff Wirral Man, like that red mutt...
  14. Bella, my Mrs dog, a pup with bags of promise as a worker. Decent looker too, sadly lost her at 18 months..
  15. My best bitch, Tess at 5 weeks, mother to my one eyed mutt. The growed up version..
  16. Another of Jake (on the left) at Altcar, about 1990. Another of Fawn,
  17. Lynx, a bitch I bought on as a stop gap in the mid 's, I made a good choice, she stayed with me into old age, pic about '94. Big Sid, great catch dog but a dozy B.stard back to you, we parted company, hot spots where getting much hotter...!
  18. Fawn, the bitch in the right, another mutt from about 1990, she was a very good lamping bitch, sommat in the blood, I think...
  19. Dug some old pics out today so I snapped 'em with my new phone and uploaded, hope they are of interest... Jake, good honest dog I had, puppy pic from 1988.
  20. Yep, if you don't want to curry it, slow cook the fecker but put strong flavours with it, the red wine one suggested with plenty of garlic and herbs. I like it plain roasted (slow) but the less you have with it, it still stinks of 'Billy' (thats why strong flavours). I don't mind the smell but it can put many off... Bonn appetite...
  21. Harry, stay away from the dunes or anywhere too coastal, sand can be a death trap for ferrets, with a novice ferreter. Get yourself out and knock at a few farms, be polite, respectful and don't expect 'em all to say yes...
  22. Haha....show off, I gave 200 sovs for mine but then again I am a cheap kind of guy lol lol
  23. I work with mostly 18 to 25 year old's, they drink 'em 24-7, christ knows what state they'll be in if their still on 'em at 40...
  24. I'm in the market for a puppy this year, first time for many a moon... I really don't know what is out there and how much it will cost, though I know, whatever I choose must have a bit of history. I still live in the world of Exchange & Mart but when I find what I want, the price will not matter...
