I think the quality of 'staghounds' in this country is nothing like American and Australian staghounds. In the latter countries, generations of breeders have pared the ballsiest/best dogs to the ballsiest/best bitches and culled unsuitable dogs along the way.. Here the quick buck breeders, the Kennel Club and the show men have conspired to produce a product which is a very poor reflection of the Aussie/yank staghound. In fact, given our restrictive laws, an imported staghound may prove to be too much dog for the average UK owner.JMHO.

Check out this thread. A member by the name of Ky99le has an imported staghound. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/323974-staghound/page-2

The most attractive attribute of this cross is their temperament. So laid back and sensible...dignified.I've owned two over the last 40 years, both were terrific pets but very average workers.

I've got two Mike Brown bed working whippets at the moment. decent enough dogs, but personally the idea of a specific working whippet type is, I think, just a selling technique. The best dog of this type I had came from non ped racing blood background. I don't think working types are any more robust than other types. I may be wrong. Just my opinion.

Brilliant videos again. The mink you have trained are much more intense and athletic than our domestic ferrets. Do you ever lose your mink during the process of a hunt? Surely some will just make a break for freedom and to hell with returning to their box? We often lose ferrets because they kill underground and just lie up with their kill. Even with electronic ferret finders some still go missing. We have a lot of wild mink in Scotland. They devastate local ecosystems and are difficult to eradicate. In fact some hold mink responsible for the near extinction of our native water vole. Many wild

Apparently she rescued it from gyppos he's staying clear of it, if gyppos had it, was probs robbed in the first place.. A nx why would that be not all travellers rob dogs yas a fecking racist fecking tramp get a wellp rear it and train it ya fecking loser atb bunnys. Was thinking that myself Bunnys. You could argue the dog needs 'rescuing' from the present owner. She says it is 'bouncy'. That's very unlike a mature deer/grey. They are normally laid back dogs. I reckon the poor bugger wants to be out running and hunting as nature intended. Must be going nuts living as a pet if it wa

Yeah, I have bite scars all over my hands and fingers, but most of them aren't actually from mink. I don't really remember the last time one of my mink bit me hard enough for me to complain about it. I've been bitten pretty bad by other people's mink, or by a new mink that's still in training, but it doesn't usually leave much of a scar. Most of my scars are actually from muskrats. Muskrat bites really leave a mark!!!!! Beware, this video, especially the last half, is quite bloody and will be disturbing to most viewers! Ouch!
-
May not be from working stock or had any training.I would be cautious.
-
Are those bite scars on your fingers? You are a lot tougher than I am when it comes to bites. Maybe Fang should have been called Dracula.

Maybe he is the world's strongest man and doesn't want to watch imposters.

Yes ! Too notch ! Well done that man. My brother in law is a 6ft 1, 19 stone, ex - prison officer ! I can only assume that the young lad took it personally, because he never came back..... .What an ignorant fecker.Feel for the lad.His stupidity would infuriate the girl and make her keener on the lad.So an own goal by the cretin. Why?......would you be happy to let a bulldog get f****d by a poodle if you were a bulldog breeder? Wilf ,behave yourself. The girl was going out with a lad with a touch of the tar brush. As far as we know she wasn't getting f****d at all. Comparisons between

She had (and still has) this quaint, out-dated idea that she should do as her dad tells her. For what it's worth,I think she should make up her own mind who she dates and not be guided by s

Just stop putting them in your f***ing mouth. Read the stats, look at the photos of diseased lungs. Think of this weird world where the tobacco barons wear suits, are immensely wealthy and deemed respectable, yet they are the most lethal drug dealers in the world. I stopped after reading Alan Carr's book How to Stop Smoking. What did it for me was his argument that people smoke to help them with stress. But the truth is smoking actually INCREASES your stress. Think about it. Stop being a weak mug.

Walking stick is a necessity for me now on terrain like that. My knees are ok going up but painful on the way down . A staff saves the kees a lot of work and pain.

I've always been interested in how different species recognise play mode in each other. I used to have a cat, a dog and a ferret which played together. Check out these polar bears playing with sled dogs. These bears are hungry!

Brilliant. Merry Xmas from a windy but unseasonably mild Scotland. -
Ronnie Pickering springs to mind.

My Mink And Lurcher Hunting A Muskrat Under The Ice!

You've invented a completely new form of hunting. Always look forward to your videos. -
I enjoyed it. The bald lad didn't have any defence at all. Better than your average gypsy fight by far. Couple of game lads who would both be sore in the morning. You wonder about the wisdom of fighting in that condition, at that age with no doctor present. Wonder how well paid it is?

Lots of whippets/greyhounds,especially black ones go bald in winter. Mine always does, but my blue one doesn't. It's nothing to worry about if it's the same thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canine_follicular_dysplasia

Probably for the same reason that Man Utd had 11,000 missing when West Ham came calling last month.....or 20,000 missing when the Ukrainian mob came calling the month before....the soppy tournaments tend to have that effect on gates........why you keep making reference to my little Hammers on a Jose Mourinho topic beats me but then ive never claimed to be a mature working class man like some of you How would you describe yourself then Gnash? Immature middle/upper class?

There was a piece about Bradley on last night's Look North. He has now received 75000 cards. He's to receive a new treatment from America which, it is hoped will extend his life for several months but it's not a cure. His goal for Sunderland will feature on Match of the Day.

My first choice would have been Guardiola. But the new reality is that we could not afford him. Since he's gone to the 'noisy neighbours' i would appoint Eddie Howe, proven ability, very sharp and burning ambition. I would give him a long contract and let him develop into the job.
