It is shit. Draw any comparison you like between the UK and comparable countries and you will see exactly how UK politicians, (in particular the tories) have nothing but contempt for we 'little' people. Pensions, way behind Spain, Germany and almost anywhere in Europe. Health service spending way behind Germany, France and and almost anywhere in Europe. Education spending way behind. Affordable social housing way behind. Job security a joke. Try offering zero hours contracts to a frenchman or a german! Infrastructure spending non existent. Why? I was on holiday in Corfu last year. Sitting in a quiet bar overlooking a small harbour, I got chatting to some well heeled brits. They said the greek islands were pretty much identical to the Caribbean. They said they'd given up holidaying there and would continue to come to Corfu because it was the same 'deal' but a fraction of the price. Greek islands for me every time. The language is easy too "two bottles of Mythos Spiros". They understand no problem.

As an Englishman living in Scotland i went down to watch the rugby on the big screen at our local rugby club. Scots are so touchy. All I said was: 'Have your lads played this game before?' And : 'Come on, for fecks sake give us a competitive game'. Plus; 'Your lot are playing like they've been paid to take a dive'. You wouldn't believe the racial abuse I received. Truly shocking. I even suggested we could give them a 30 point start next time and got racially abused for that! No way to welcome immigrants lads.

Saw a young girl handling 2 ESS dogs at a shoot last year.. Put everybody to shame. She was quiet but assertive. Her dogs never put a leg wrong but retained their speed and enthusiasm. None of the shouting, testosterone stuff you see in a lot of male handlers. Sometimes the female sex adds a different dimension to traditionally male activities. There's a elderly woman on the salmon beat that I fish who always gets more than her share of fish. Female pheromones she reckons.

Couldnt agree more ive been saying for years there needs to be a super heavyweight division.......when sport gets to the stage where Tyson Fury would probably beat Rocky Marciano/Joe Frazier etc you know something needs to be changed ! As for Haye he is a far better boxer than the majority of heavyweights he just isnt big enough.....not even for Bellew at this stage of his career. Have to disagree about Fury being able to beat Joe Frazier. I think Joe would have kept very close to Fury and sickened him with the regularity and viciousness of his punches. Surely the question is: would Haye have won the fight if he hadn't injured his Achilles tendon? On the evidence before the injury I think he would eventually have nailed Bellew. Yes his timing was off, but Bellew didn't really fight in the opening rounds. all he did was evade punches. I think Haye will be back. I hope there's a rematch. There's a pound note in it for both of them so I think it will happen.

I was brought up Catholic. I didn't baptise my children or bring them up Catholic. I didn't want them brainwashed or badly treated like I was. Some of the worst people I've come across are nuns brothers and priests. Religious people of all different faiths are often the worst human beings imaginable.

Fecks sake reading that was a bit of a jolt. I worked with a bloke who was a concentration camp survivor. The nicest, most gentle man you could ever meet. He used to bring grass, turnips, dandelions etc to feed my lad's rabbits. He had noticed that they had come up to the wire looking for food and thought they might be short of grub. Poor bugger had been starved himself. His nickname was 'Gannet' because he would sweep everybody's crumbs of the canteen table and eat anybody's left over food. He used to say 'you never know when things will get bad'.

If Haye can't put Bellew away in the first few rounds, we might see a repeat of his defeat by a 40 year old cruiserweight. Everybody had written off Carl Thompson but Haye punched himself out at the start of the fight. and had to be rescued by his corner.
