Gnasher is a bit of a mystery. He reckoned he was the alpha male on here..... distilled masculinity. I was driving a Honda Civic. I was def travelling faster than 14 mph and the other driver hit me at fairly high speed. Both cars written off. My airbags def never activated. It was in 99 so no chance of investigation now.

I had a similar experience. I was genuinely injured.First thing my GP asked me was whether the airbags had activated.I got the strong impression he was trying to discover whether I was a compensation seeker or genuinely hurt.

Both of those creatures are in serious,serious decline. I love the call of the lapwing , but I have to travel to hear it now. It's a long time since I heard a hedgehog shuffling in a hedgerow too. Very sad.

Mrs went to a meeting of old biddies. Its some sort of club where they get together and sometimes have a visiting speaker. Last night there was a speaker talking about her job as a sexual health nurse. I was pulling her leg about it before she went, saying all the old biddies will enjoy being shocked..keep them affronted and muttering for weeks. She said I'm very broad minded, it will take a lot to shock me. So she comes home and is very quiet. Then she spills the beans. Apparently it's not chlamidia queens or pox or hiv which takes up her working day. It's young girls who have weird infection

I had my ups and downs with him. But he never sulked. Just got on to next post and we either agreed or disagreed, he never seemed to bear a grudge, which is the way it should be.

You are right Accip (I lasted 24 hours by the way) never understood people patronising kids. They are just younger us. Nothing my grandsons like better than 3 generations " man talking" about fishing football etc . I think all this Attention Deficit Disorder is to do with the crash bang wallop of television and computer games. Kids never get a chance to think in silence.

How about the muslim doctors and nurses? The NHS would collapse without them. Do you ask your medics' religions when you receive treatment? Lots of guys on here have posted on the subject of their gratitude toward commonwealth doctors and consultants who have treated themselves and their children. How about muslims who are born British? Do they get kicked out under Blackbriar's "sharia" law? Should we ban all religions in the UK except the Church of England?

I agree mate. The Saudis are the world's biggest terrorist threat. It's they who have brainwashed these ISIS fighters. Let's not forget it was they who were responsible for 9/11. But Bush declared war on Iraq! The Bin Laden family were given permission to fly out of America when every other flight was cancelled across the country. Some cynics say that was because the Bush and Bin Laden families shared oil interests/businesses. But surely the world can't be that corrupt can it. Yes it f****n can.

I think that's illogical mate. Does that mean you feel no gratitude to the descendants of white Christian soldiers because a tiny minority have gone on to commit sex or terrorist crimes? If somebody of whatever creed or colour lays down his life for us they deserve respect.
