  1. He definitely picked his meat. Ronnie Pickering would have shown him who's boss.
  2. That's one of the amazing things about music, there's so many masterpieces out there from different genres which we will never hear. They are lost in obscurity and will never be discovered by us. I keep thinking writers will run out of ideas and eventually there will be thousands of copyright cases. But it never happens. There's always constant creativity in music. I wonder if computer programmes will eventually take over the writing of new material? Hope not.
  3. How you like this version of 'Back door man?' watch
  4. Life's but a walking shadow A poor player who struts and frets his hour upon the stage And then is heard no more. It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury Told by an idiot, signifying nothing Will Shakespeare.
  5. Some of the worst times I've been through were when my adult kids' lives weren't going well. That is really difficult. You are only as happy as your kids. For you lads who are younger than me--you've got that to come.
  6. watch This is one powerful Linkin Park track. We can probably all relate to the lyrics. I've always found the best survival mechanism when the psychological going gets tough is accept it for what it is. A phase, a shit time which may last a long time but will eventually end. Exercise like fuk even though it's the last thing you want to do,and lay off the drink--it's a depressant.
  7. Ingles gym ? No mate. The one in the link. Me and a few others used to wear burkas and spar with them. Some of them were pushovers, but others suspected we were in disguise and started eye gouging and head butting so we packed it in. first-gym-specifically-for-muslim-women-to-open-in-the-uk-5856870
  8. What's the point of topping yourself ? The grim reaper will get you soon enough and life might improve. I think suicide can often be a form of loving yourself too much. I've always gone by the belief 'life can be crap and then you croak'. Shit happens to everybody so feckin get on with it.
  9. Your right Jukel, a man is a man & a woman is a woman. Bet their are some exceptional examples of both, your not likely to see them in Hello magazine or in the big brother house. But when your in need they are there to help. Real heroes, who im sure most would agree should be rewarded more highly than they are. The world really needs a shake-up on who we idolize thinking about it. Yeah, I was thinking the same. Particularly with all these terrorist atrocities and tragedies like Grenfell, the NHS staff, firemen and the police have been immense.
  10. Ronnie who ? Ronnie f****n Pickering!
  11. Few celebrities have met me but I can't remember their names. I don't buy this 'famous' thing. 'A man's a man for a' that'. The only man I would walk across the road and ask to shake his hand would have been Ali. Not just for his boxing but because he was an exceptional human being.
  12. I started laughing reading this and thought "f**k me,thats brutal" No, that's telling it as it is. Scotland's like that. 'Brutal' would be a Glasgow kiss for knocking on the door unnecessarily. As for BBC diversity. Why not have some presenters who have a regional accent? Some who are fat or bald or old? Some who are a bit quirky or slightly off the wall. It that's too much to ask, how about interesting? Presenters often have middle class accents, a public school/Oxbridge education and know instinctively not to rock the boat. BBC staff should be more representative of their viewers
  13. Watched it. Leith used to be a whaling area. They still have old guns etc on display on the dockside. One guy in the documentary said the whalers who set sail in open boats to hunt whales "were iron men". He got that right.
  14. You must have a thin neck! The whole family have got them on! I've had them on my knackers in the past. Can you get a small (very small) collar to fit round--well you know where this is going.
  15. insect_shield_your_own_clothes There's loads of sites where you can buy different stuff to protect yourself and your kids.
  16. You need to watch them on your kids.Took one off my grandson recently.Limes disease (predictive text insists on misspelling the word) is a serious disease. Guy I knew had it and it eventually killed him. Gave him all sports of medical issues, including a kind of dementia.Tick proof clothing is the way to go.
  17. A track to accompany your self indulgent male menopause. watch
  18. I've overdogged in the past. Ended up shovelling shite with the dogs getting hyper through lack of enough work. Two for me, I've learned my lesson.
  19. This is the track that turned me from a boy into a sixties' weekend hippy. It still sends shivers up my spine. watch
