do you still work the short Russell type? you don't see many over here.I have one here 10" tts, he's a fcuking law upon himself lol, most protective dog we've ever owned. Does what he wants when he wants and is bursting with character. Great little busher and ratter. North Yorkshire police must be the only force at the moment that is on the ball. My firearms certificate was up for renewal last year so I opted to go for the conterminous this time round. I filled in the forms, sent them off. My new coterminous certificates came 1 week before my old ones expired. So when the new certificates came into date I simply returned the old ones to the licensing department. No hassle nice and easy, how difficult can it be for all forces to do the same? No problems with ammunition and no need for a temporary certificate.

Only know of one person ever having one. The same man told me if he was ever to have another, he would buy a shotgun before he bought a lead. Apparently he's kicked off one day, got pts the next day................suppose that could happen with any breed though, but most breeds don't grow to almost 100kg All being said I think they are big handsome beasts.............Think you would need plenty of experience with large dogs before taking one on tbh

I guess most dogs would track given the time and right training Bird, what I am looking for is small inconspicuous dog thats up for the job. I could have easily opted for a lab, springer cocker or pointer breed, just fancied a smaller breed with a good nose from the right breeder, not looking for an all rounder a one trick pony will do me.......finding shot deer. But I know what ya mean about the shepherd / Alsatian breeds, just not my thing tbh.

Granted the lads who he shot at were thieving and not for the first time by all accounts. He had enough and snapped and shot one of them in the back and killed him. I don't think I need " to get a grip " tell me when was the last time you heard of a farmer or gamekeeper killing a poacher seeing as 45% of gun holders are mentally not stable lol ...... Maybe an isolated incident Socks, 4 years ago just outside Scarborough in a little place called heslerton, some local lads drove into a field in a Subaru, BOOM! the rear window was shot out 1 lad hit by about 6 or so pellets around the neck and shoulders 1 dog also hit as they left the field, faster than they came into it another shot rang out striking the car...............they never went back again...

Regardless of how the dog went missing, the responsibility of the dog is solely that of the officer who took it from the owner. Once that officer has taken the dog the future welfare of that animal is upon him, regardless of who or were the dog is housed. He or she cannot blame anybody else as it was them who took the dogs. If it was my dog I would hammer them through the courts, by the time I had finished that officer would not look twice at another dog. Hope it all turns out well eventually.......ATB....... Del

So in your bitter jaded view you'd be fine with being strung up for a bit of coursing or doing a bit of foxing? IMO hunting wild game as man has done for centuries is not worse than nickin a mars bar. To trespass with intent to take game is no worse than nicking a Mars bar? I wish you had been representing me in years gone by you may have saved me a fortune in fines, if not it would have been entertaining in the courts listening to you and your arguments over the value of private property V a Mars bar ATB.....Del
