    what's the best dog to put over your plummer ?IMO another plummer.Firemans right there's a lot of arse holes in the world of the plummer terrier,get rid of them and hey presto ,but that's not going to happen,to much ego in all breeds i'd say.on the flip side though there is a lot of genuine folk that keep and work these little dogs,CS,WM,FM,just to name a few and myself.I'M setting off 5-30 tomorrow morning on an 8 hr round trip to the midlands to line my bitch,all going well i will keep a pup back for myself and there's a waiting list as long as my arm for a pup out of my bitch,but they will

    this contraption may be great in Australia bud for your rabbits but it looks clumsy,the lad wants to Bolt some rats for his dogs not deliberately kill them all down the holes. And he certainly don't won't to be using poisons around his Dogs normal fumes can be bad enough,horses for courses bud. 2 stoke still saws et. Are tried and tested methods and can be chucked about a bit no f.,,ing on adding this and that. All the same good luck with your methods down under atb Keith j.

    looks like you are having a bit fun with the rats lads.get shot of you 4 stroke waist of time and too much chew on,try and get yourselves an old still saw or chain saw,strip the blades off get some pipe welded on to the exhaust and attach some rubber pipe from car engine jobs a good one.no need for extra oil in the mix normal mix is more than good enough,lot of rats in shallow sets will bolt with the vibration of the saw,to much smoke kills a lot of rats in the holes if they become over intoxicated .good luck ATB Keith j.

    Hello bud,there's a game keeper in Northumberland [Rothbury] a mr Harrisson he has bin breeding his own line of gingers for over 30 years.practically identical to the one in the picture,i know over the years a lot have gone down south.he still has several of these now,where as one time when rabbits where a plenty in these parts he would have no less than twenty,i hunt with this man pretty regular so i'll try and get some photo's.found one pic not the best but he's ginger,hope this is of some help ATB Keith j.

    Hello uro how's you. Plummer terriers get a lot bad press on here for what ever reason as there are good and bad in all breeds,to much ego going on id say,my dogs this or that,but there are some genuine guys out there that work there plummers with excellent results whether it be bushing rabbits ,killing rats or going to ground or all as these dogs make good all rounders.but id say your dogs a good dog if it dose the job you ask of it whatever that may be.I myself have worked these little red and whites for ten years now with excellent results.i love bushing with them and ratting,i know most do

    Fantastic thread moll and others,you can't beet the excitement and adrenalin that hunting rattus in number with a good team of folk and dogs can produce .like yourselves i have killed rats in number and still do,i hunt every week some times two or three times and f....ng love it .Excellent pics 'yes sometimes our dogs do get injured in the field but i;m sure your dogs get the after care they need and deserve .Keep up the good work happy hunting to you all,ATB Keith j.

    Plummer terriers make fantastic ratters bud,ive used them for over ten years now and took some big numbers with them.there athleticism and agility is something else.I personally would not let a pup tackle an adult rat until it is equipped with the tools to do the job [adult teeth].plenty to do with your pup until then stock breaking ect,and even watching the adult dogs on.As adult rats can and do inflict a canny old bite when they latch on.Good luck keith j.
