    Turf advice

FFS if you buy owt from turflads let me know first and i'l see how much i can get it you for, they aren't getting their rabbits controlled completely free One of the lads from work might want a foreigner too Any trees or plants i'll get you a price on too. Gnipper
  4. I like he foreign amphibs like axolotl's and horned frogs etc. but the natives have always interested me. Apparently we have natterjacks and sand lizards here but ive never seen one, always too busy looking at the rabbits though Got kingfishers a couple of hundred yards from my house and peregrines about a mile away too, not bad for shithole town Gnipper
  5. Just goes to show how high rabbits will jump doesn't it, i always wonder how the little buggers find the gaps. Well done lads

Ive bred bew to silver mate and got mostly poleys and a few silvers so don't start ordering your porche yet
  7. They have found a couple in the woods on my old shoot, fecking glad i left but i suppose you'd have to tap on the skull to get the birds moving
  8. Before i had heard about the not breeding silver to silver stuff i bred a brother and sister together and got a litter of cracking kits, also bred BEW to silver and there was no problems there either. If i remember right i got more silver kits from the silver to silver than the other mating. gnipper

  11. I will have some in the summer mate but i might need to rehome an adult jill before then if your interested???
  12. Nice terriers mate, just need about another 3 or 4 inches sticking on their tails.
  13. Mostly poleys but from what i can gather you really shouldn't be thinking about breeding from them until they are tame and reasonable workers.
  14. If you must feed biscuits you could at least give em ferret biscuits , the coat doesn't fade on them like has been said ,you can tell they aren't getting all they need from cat food. If you think its too dear the wellberipped off stuff get the cheaper ttypes, I got a bag for summer or when i haven't got any rabbit etc from companions choice online delivered next day for £30. Couldn't be easier could it.
  15. What dya keep it in, a fag packet??? There is no fecking way you have a ferret smaller than a mouse
  16. If the hob chews her bad when you put them back together then you don't have to leave them for 4 days ive had/known several good sized litters from just one mating. When the jill is pregnant she will start to realy show about a week before she drops so give her loads of extra bedding to make a nest with and leave her to it, you will be able to hear the kits squeaking when they are born without having to disturb the jill and looking in. I've seen it myself when someone can't resist messing with the kits and then wonder why there is only a couple left or none Leave handling till they are a
  17. She's grown a bit since i first met her and she dived into a ditch , she will be a belter you could tell when she was tiny (well nearly the same as my whippet), might have to invite myself out and see how she's doing gnipper
  18. Really sorry to hear that mate, I remember you saying how good she was as a pup and i would have loved to have seen her run. Really gutted for you mate. Rob

    ferrets

I feed my dogs on mostly raw meat and no i don't eat meat all the time coz i belong to an omnivorous species. My ferrets get rabbit, pigeon, pheasant etc etc but sometimes in the summer they get biscuit when i haven't shot anything or not time to defrost something, im not against feeding biscuit but they still need there natural diet now and again and i just think its not right that they don't realise that meat is food. ferrets

Don't you think thats a bit unnatural, a carnivore thats been brainwashed outof eating meat??? Just doesn't seem right to me Seen a terrier bolt a fox and wouldn't look at it above ground
  21. An expensive but effective route is night vision. My mate has it and we have had some good nights with it and it would work better with a good bait.
  22. Droppers or rats will teach it how to use its mouth, I did it the wrong way round with mine and now i can't get her off them
  23. Are you keeping her in with the hobs? Might be a crap mother and/or the last time you bred her the hob might have fired a blank.
  24. Ive bolted stoats a few times but they don't like bolting when they have just dodged four terriers, an old albino jill of mine would never jib and was battered from the rats regular but she jacked on that stoat. Shags i shot a weasel between the eyes last year while it was carrying a vole
