Back on topic the best ferrets i've ever had were off the keepers dad who was the keeper before him and had the same line of ferrets for years, I could have probably picked one out of 50 other ferrets too as they all had the same features and were unlike most others, can't describe how but they were. It wasn't agression it was more confusion as to what your post has to do with traits that are bred into lines of ferrets. As I normally try not to take notice of anything you've posted i'll go back to that, be sure to let us all know when you catch your second rabbit though. How many years was it now since the picture of the one you caught(?) once upon a time?

I think the key with kits & taming is food, if you shove enough in & they thrive minimal handling imo is required, i hate reading about bitey kits basically because i am of the opinion they get mauled to death & quite frankly pissed off so they nip large litters can be seperated into small groups but again if enough food is added daily sibling rivalry should be minimal if not your not feeding enough Kay wtf has that got to do with things that are in a ferrets genes? Hate reading about bitey kits all you like it will never be anything i've typed, most the threads on bite

Their temperament is hereditary imo so I can't see why working ability/instinct won't be. I've read about the ferrets from Abbots brothers being tame even though they weren't handled and a mate of mine remembers when him and his mates were kids receiving their ferrets on the train that were tame and worked well and that place must have been like a mustelid hancocks.

My pup is about 17 week old now and has been cocking his leg for ages ,tries humping my leg and he doesn't half give my lurcher some stick too hanging off his ears. Think he might be a handfull in a few months time

You will get mider though, especially if you turn up looking like a load of pikeys on a coursing meet. Maybe some of it isn't keepered but there are farmers and other people with permission on the land who won't like it. Leave the dogs at home folks, they'd be stuck in the car while you were in the pub anyway coz a posh eating pub isn't gonna want a load of lurchers in there and I doubt it would want a load of folk dressed in camo and wellies either

hey chrissi things dont change i lived on banks road just after the pumping station about 25 years back a guy called mick murphy was the keeper on the land then i walked all that land as a kid great rabbit and hare land also took lots of ducks with the air rifle on the 10' drain before baxters put the pump house in get youself over to croppers they always want people to keep rabbits of the lettuce does crook still live in southfork ranch he can be hard work hes not called crook for nothing Not anymore, I remember about 8 or 9 years ago and there was loads of english partridge and hares

Not as much out there in recent years mate, got a run out there a few weeks back but theres hardly owt. Never get any bother. Keep clear of banks though theres some rum fuckers there, every time theres a power cut (which is quite often) the population booms and thats without diluting the bloodlines if you catch my drift. Good chippy though

When you go the Wiggin tree can everyone take a hacksaw with them so they can cut the fecking camera down so I don't have to go down the hill with my brakes on. I think the ground is keepered at the back too so be careful if your taking dogs. I'd come but its hard enough getting out with the dogs she'd go nuts if I was going the pub
