  1. he asked and some of us tried to explain how to do it . and yes using needle and mesh gauge is the way to do it nowadays but to say you, then can then do it with out the mesh gauge is DRIVLE to me how or why would you want to do it with out one unless you are repairing a net with a hole in itThis lad does ok without a boardMICK DADD .. NET MAKER:
  2. Hunting is permitted in Islam but can you eat an animal killed by a dog? Genuinely interested here not bitching.
  3. That's the main thing I've always found, some areas kids have got to scrap it's like survival of the fittest and other "nicer" areas it wasn't a big thing.
  4. I enjoy my rollers but I don't think I'd enjoy the comps.
  5. Don't feed it too much as the shergar rots their teeth
  6. Have you thought about giving it pup food?

    Baskets?

How much are you selling them for Nelson?
  8. Have you considered using polymorph plastic? That stuff is bloody hard and can be easily reworked, added to etc but I'm not sure about machining it.
  9. Good to hear he's ok but keep an eye on him in case he goes downhill. Years ago my old dog made a mistake and grabbed a ferret which seemed ok after the initial shock but he died a few days later I think through internal damage as he didn't shit.
  10. Never had a dog jump gates, the buggers refuse and go over the fence either side of it.
  11. I'm sure I watched a ferreting vid the writer of that was narrating?
  12. Thanks lads, they seem to be doing ok for him.

    Baskets?

Who's doing the best baskets at the moment and at a decent price? Cheers in advance
  14. I got a chicken wing brought cooked to hand today?
  15. He deserved it too mate, any cnut upset my kids enough to do that it would take a lot of neighbours to get me off.
  16. will do your sounds a handful mate. Just had him out for his first lamp with another dog and he wasn't too bad so I'm hoping he might actually be growing up. He's probably not far off the size of buck either so don't want him to get in any skirmishes with strange dogs.
  17. I just avoid other people and dogs regardless of who they are it saves any mider. This present mutt is a pain for playing with other dogs wether they want to or not and if he's challenged by a strange dog he will steam in so it's not worth it.
  18. From the threads I've read on here about bucks encounters with the public Ray I'm sorry to say he sounds like a proper pain in the arse for the poor buggers minding their own business then getting frightened by a fecking wolf.
  19. I got quoted £20 a leg and the price of the anaesthetic which I think was 50 or 60 quid for my old dog. The anaesthetic is priced on the size of the animal too so a smaller dog should be cheaper.
  20. It needs doing while their a few days old, surely any older and it's an operation under anaesthetic?
  21. When I did it I didn't pair the finch to one hen I moved him around amongst them but I ran him in with the canaries before the season so they were all used to eachother. My linnet and siskin weren't shy and would tread any hen as soon as it squatted but the goldies get stage fright. I also played a canary mp3 on my phone to get the hens to squat for treading, a good way of seeing if they were coming into condition too.
  22. I'd imagine the aussie foxes are cubbing at a time when the weather, food etc is ideal. Isn't it summer in australia now?
  23. Another tip I forgot to say was don't give the finch too much good stuff, I'm pretty sure it's why I failed to mule at first because he was too well fed and lazy from all the niger and goldie mix I was giving. Give them a good mixed canary seed and dandelions (whole thing) and plenty of light.
