    I got ripped off a few times with birds over the years. There's a lot of people buying birds just to sell at auctions and sales etc so there's a good chance the seller actually thought it was a linnet, I'd be careful to make sure its rung correctly too if I was you.

    I'd agree, but I find putting a collar on a pup at this age & let it get used to it, helps no end in preventing a dog being a arse when it encounters a lead for the first time.. I always put a collar on a pup when I get one, a nice light puppy collar.

Look how many people are dumping the ferrets now the seasons over and all the people who are looking to line all their jills just for the sake of it. That's why it's better not to breed or just keep what you need/have homes for.

    I can't think of any non domestic animal which will fight one on one to the death in a natural environment??? Them pigs are being provoked to do it, pits are bred to do it and the horses they fight are tormented with an in season mare.
