  1. I know it was gonna happen eventually mate, let us know how the dark side runs !
  2. Nice one buddy, that's all I get on my perm ones and twos
  3. I do like the two tone I must admit, plus it shows what the shotgun has been through... It is a restoration after all!
  4. To be honest I think I'm just going to leave it the two tone, hopefully it may be down tomorrow!!....I'm still waiting on the review of your goody box moxy!
  5. I'm sure it will fit mate, I will let you all know when it's down! I got some new cartridges I wanna out through so I'm dying to get it out!
  6. That looks bloody awesome mate, I look forward to the review of the goody box
  7. What's the big difference with barrel sizes mate (this is for me) 24", I expect it's a lot louder but does it affect accuracy for say pigeon shooting out a hide? seems quite small for pigeon etc, I'm sure my single barrel is 30" or maybe a bit less?
  8. It's not done up at all, bog standard nice wood work from what I saw, has the iron sights on it and that's it. Hopefully he can ask for a shoot with it
  9. Are they really that bad? I'm sure it will just be up to him at the end of the day, much appreciated Charlie thanks. No doubt when he goes back he will have a couple of others. Just wish it was easier to import
  10. I saw a winchester sxp on sportsmangun centre (which I have shot) and to be honest wouldn't have minded one as well because I have used one before....they quoted us 500-1000 to export to here...just to give you an example of what we have to deal with
  11. Paulus there is absolutely no law against doing that... The problem we have over here is it would cost us a minimum of 240 either on the boat or by plane, then obviously buying the gun itself then bringing it back over, paying for the import licence which ontop of that VaT would have been paid, then bringing over here if its over 220, would have to pay jersey tax on top!.... So it's not feasible at all. To be honest as long as he likes the mossberg he's going to go for it, he's quite a small build like me and with the short barrel he can use it in his hide where he shoots pigeons. I suggested
  12. Yer I apologise for the wrong title, I'm not massively clued up on shotguns, I myself only own a single shot break barrel, I'm just asking in his behalf. As I said I think he's just going down the routes of what he knows. There was a mossenburg 500a 28inch vetted barrel which was alot more, Unfortunatly I think he's struggling because his budget is quite low and the quantity and access to different brands just isn't there.
  13. Mossenburg 500?, no good then I take it?, we can't use gun trader over here mate, it costs just as much to import as the weapon itself mate. Think he wants. Pump action because that's what he knows.
  14. Cheers mate I will take a look, he went to our local shop today and there was a mossenburg, can't remember which type looked a lot like a standard cop gun in America haha 24" barrel, pump. Wanted 300 for it
  15. Just out of interest guys whats the best pump or gas single barrel 12gs out there at the moment, been looking at the winchester sxp?, pigeon pheasants and rabbit mainly. It's not for me, more for a friend, although maybe in the future for me He's more looking in the range of £300 minus VAT
  16. Nice one guys, sounds like u had a laugh!, nice to see paulus advising me on some boots to buy a while back... Looks like you could do with some too buddy haha!
  17. I thought the mamba lite scopes were good?
  18. I would jjust like to say a big thank you to si and the others alike who breed so much energy into the sport, it is without a doubt that without the experience shown in here my hunting would not have come on the leaps as bounds it has. Whenever I have had a question....it has been answered. I do hope he comes back in time after he has had his break. All the best to him and his family Craig
  19. Send him my regards daz when u next speak, all the best to him and hope he has a speedy recovery
  20. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?sbk=1&nav=SEARCH&itemId=151097011112 I have one of these (thanks to daz) perfect bit of kit, I just have an old dry bag from my military days that game goes into inside the bag, it's perfect although the zips have been cut and para cord thread threw so they don't make any noise, loads of seperate pockets to keep game away from water etc etc, small compartment for shells or pellets, and with the Molle u can attach something else (I have a first aid pouch if I'm around with my 12g) Note: it is not big at all! Fits inside my shoulder blade
  21. Even with a range finder u can still go wrong. Elevation shots have such a fine margin
