  1. Great Universal catalogue used to sell Franchi shotguns and Marlin rimfires, as well as airguns of course. They stated that “we regret that cannot supply guns to customers residing in Northern Ireland “.
  2. Good to know you’re still shooting jimmy. As above, nothing wrong with the 12ft lb guns. I shoot with rimfires, centrefires, shotguns and airguns. I’ve had just as good sport with the airguns as with any other guns. They’re a joy to use imo ??.
  3. Another miss and a .17 size hole in the skirting board. Must get a draught excluder?
  4. I’m looking forward to seeing one of these new tikka’s, I don’t know if it’ll be any better than my cz though. I tried a t-bolt varmint recently. It was good, very accurate, but again, I’m not convinced that it’s any better than my cz452.
  5. I bought the ks and it’s great imo. Can’t put the bloody thing down once I start?.
  6. They probably are phil. They were originally bought to use in a Theoben eliminator, but they were fairly crap in that as well. I’ve also got some rabbit magnums in .177 but never tried them. I’ll give them a go in the hw100, see if they’re any good in that. I don’t have a lot of hope though to be honest.?
  7. I normally fill it to 200 Mark, but I’ll try 180. It’s a handy little thing I reckon, shot a fair bit of vermin with it.? I usually use jsb exact in it, seems to love them.
  8. The h&n rabbit magnums were by far the worst. The other three types would likely also soon begin to open up if the range was stretched much further. Probably twenty yards would be the maximum with this ammo? They’re probably too heavy to stabilise well at these low velocities.
  9. No need Nathan. Just load them into your top pocket ready for rapid throwing. ?
  10. Let’s ‘av a laugh and find out. Just having a rustle through some of my accumulated .22’s and thought about putting a few of these air bullets to the test. I also found some H&N round ball .22’s, so gave them a try as well. With standard type air gun pellets, my little contour usually runs around the 11ft lb mark. All these that I tested today were well down on that figure though. Over the chrono the h&n rabbit magnum 2 at 24.5 grains averaged 363.2 fps (7.17ft lb). Rabbit magnum power 25.8 grain averaged 350fps (7.01ft lb). Eley magnum 30.3 grain averaged 282.1fps (5.35ft lb). R
  11. Good shooting fella. Was it with the twelve or fourten? i see its 12 now I’ve read it properly.
  12. Good shooting Nathan. Cracking little guns for the money, the 99s.?
  13. Very true, rapids are heavy and agricultural by today’s standards. Accurate though, as you say. One plus point though, is that they’re easily stripped down for maintenance if required. I don’t know if that’s the case with the modern stuff, but I doubt it.Having said that, I haven’t used my rapid since I got the HW100, but I know I could keep the rapid going indefinitely. It’s so solidly made. Would like to try the impact though?
  14. Interesting “stuff”? Nathan. Pardon the pun. Achieved a good result?as usual.
  15. They’re a good tool at 30ft lbs in .22 as well using 16 grain @ around 900 FPS.
  16. Good shooting Nathan. What load do you use in the double front stuffer?
