  1. Had three, still got two. No better and no worse than .177 and .22 imo.
  2. Beautifully engineered by Steve Wilkins. One of the pioneers of pcp air guns?
  3. I’ve shot plenty of ferals with .25, sub12 dropped them well enough.
  4. Ahh.......got to get my rapid out. Good shooting billy, as usual fella?
  5. Good shooting Nathan. The 99s really are great rifles for the money. Lovely to shoot, and as accurate as you like. Champion??
  6. Good shooting bn. We used to shoot ferals in some old factory’s in the nineties. The vast majority dark like yours. I used my .25 supersport, it was ideal for that job. The mess they made was unbelievable, we took them away in black bin liners, god knows how many, but we got them under control anyway. Good luck with the new permission ?nice one fella.
  7. That was always going to be the case. The people who abide by it are the people who won’t misuse airguns anyway, so it won’t achieve anything positive. Just a wast of time and effort for everyone involved, all based on prejudice. Kranky was never going to listen to reason or common sense on this one, just determined to force it through regardless.
  8. That looks like one heck of a tool. Got me thinking now. How many power settings does it have with the two adjustment dials? I reckon I could use something like that.
  9. Pretty good Nathan. I found the subs a little loud for subs, borderline subsonic, the ones I’ve had. Accurate though. The hv’s were accurate as well, I’ve still got a few, probably less than ten left. Not a bad price either. I paid about four quid a box from moorhall stores. The hv’s are 1260fps I think ?
  10. Good shot vm, any chance of a picture of your crown set up??
  11. I thought they were fairy good, certainly hit hard and more accurate than stingers for me. HV.22’s, I always preferred the eleys, I tried some federal classic and they were very good, but I couldn’t get any more since. Also find Fiocchi hv good as well. The rws I’ve been using recently have been very good though.
  12. I was told by rfd that nobody was importing the Remington ammo at the moment. This was a couple of years ago though. Some shops still have some old stock. I was offered some cyclones at about two quid a box about a year or so ago. I declined, but for that price I suppose they might have been worth a punt?
  13. The only rifle I’ve seen good accuracy from stingers was an old bsa sportsman 15. I thing the American eagles are still made Nathan? I could be wrong. The winnies in the white box might be worth a try Nathan. I think they were quite good and it would be interesting to put them up against the new ones. Andy, if you find anything interesting it would be nice to see if you could put a picture up. I’m always interested in looking and trying something different myself ?.
  14. Talking of Winchester hv .22’s, remember these? Available in 29, 32 and 34 grain if I remember correctly ?
  15. As you probably know, lasers are one of the faster .22 hv’s. I’ve used them to good effect, but at odds with your findings Nathan, i find the rws more accurate and haven’t had any noticeable problems with inconsistencies in the rws hv’s I’ve had. Maybe you got some from a bad batch, or quality control has gone down hill? Hopefully it’s the former. I’d still rather have the eley hv’s though, if I could get any?
  16. Nice one. A bit of hedgerow shooting takes some beating fella. Well done?
  17. Good shooting, plenty of times I’ve failed to retrieve squirrels. ?
