i thought i had a pair of shamos and a indian game x hen. turns out now theres a stag, a young stag ( in middle) and the indian x . guess i have no shamo eggs hatching only shamo x. lol lol ah well next time haha

Went to my mates other day and we candled the eggs 18/20 seem birded so fingers crossed sat/sunday they will all be pipping. Best of luck everyone with yer hatching!!

I have 1cross bred chick couple of weeks old and 2dozen eggs just gone into inci a mix of pure shamo , shamo x indian , pure orpingtons hoping to get good hatch rates again

My tiny cocker x russel bitch is nearly 2and a half and started dropping in end of last season. Dont tink theres any guarentees that they wont go to ground, ive seen / heard of most crosses dropping to ground. I suppose size is the only guarentee , if there 2big . O and i paid 90euro for her

One last thing i forgot to ask when a live trap is set on a well used run how do ya know which way to face the door on the run or does it matter or does it be left off the run but right beside it. O and there is lots of food about there a yard and about 40young cattle being kept right behind me so plenty about for them to eat. Cheers for all the advise

Wasent going to let it out only show the dogs then dispatch with in the law. Ment to say smell rather than taste in original post. Sorry about that .So should i cover the trap or what ? Any tips to live trapping be great . Have it set for a week and a half with peanut butter , choc spread , and i even sprinkled few oats on the butter and no joy and i wearing gloves when handeling the trap. The trap is brand new only week and half old could that be the problem that there is still scent on it

Cheers lads . I was going to smoke them out next just wanted the dogs to have an idea first of whats going on. For the live trap does the trap need to be coveref in a bag or something to make it dark think i heard that before.

I have a few spots around my yard that are farley well run from rats and burrows. I bought a live catch trap last week because i want the terriers to get a taste of them anyway having no luck with the live trap yet just wondering could a stick a couple of (i tink) fenn traps on the runs in the ditch which is most active ( right behind my chickens) im sick of them and just want them gone and even a dead one will give the dogs the scent any advice appreciated cheers

There is plenty of rats holes around where i am , i plan on graftin them a bit on them before it gets to hot. They have also got a big double tier hutch witb pipes in it. What else could i put in the hutch to keep them entertained?
