  3. i dont think the farmers i go too would be happy about strangers that i haven't even met walking around there fields and building. trust is hard to build. how would you feel if it was your back garden. then low and behold something goes missing. bye bye permission :cray: . nice idea but how on earth are you going to vet people first.atb RAW
  4. a fracture can occur without swelling. in fact the swelling occurs from damaged tissue around the bone. no damage to the tissue no swelling but the bone may be fractured. like i said take a trip to the vet if your not sure.
  5. if you value your dog then it's a trip to the vets. an xray should rule out alot of things. it could be loads of diffrent things and i'm not in a position to give advice on a dog i can'y see or touch nor is anyone on this forum for that matter.dogs are great liars when it comes to hunting. some can be in pain but show no sighs when the see a lamp just for a night out the problem with running a dog with a fracture no matter how small may cause arthrities (spelling) in later life. VETS REST REST
  6. great write up mate. thanks for taking the time to share your experience with us.
  7. you'll be lucky that antler is really deer. i'll get my coat
  8. tried army goretex and real tree stuff. they are ok but i keep ripping them on barb so it's back to the old wax barber this season and it protects me a bit better when sticking my head in a hawthorn hedge. good luck mate. i'd been interested to hear others suggestions too. atb RAW
  9. nearly every week we travel a fair distance to hunt. we try to keep local ones for midweek. i love hunting fresh ground.i'm a firm believer in thinking that no matter how good your dogs are you still have have something to hunt , to hunt. atb RAW
  10. Thats crazy. reminds me of how big and untouched certain parts of the world are. some may say it's a mammoth tale.
  11. lol  . it could be the new bible
  12. hope the dogs have a full recovery mate.
  13. so your telling me the only thing on the whole site that you find interesting is a petition that no knows about .i'm all for repealing the hunting act can't wait for it to be overturned. when it is overturned i'll get in some big hounds. at the moment it's a time when it's hard to trust people . it is still a war to overturn the act and the other side will stoop to any levels to make hunting folk look bad in the eyes of non hunting public. as an ambassador for hunting i have to be carefull what i put my name to. hopefully it's a little more clear now my friend . if the petion is a sound one t
  14. i can only talk from my experience and will agree that most will run the hedge but after ferreting an orchard last season i had to change my mind. nearly every rabbit we bolted headed for open ground. i just wanted the lad to have all bases covered so he could enjoy his day out. atb RAW
  15. i got a ferret with a patch on one eye and a wooded leg for sale for £50. just send a pm first come first served. comes with free parrot and a ship.
  16. DON'T EAT . i looked into wild mushrooms a few years back . theres alot that can go wrong mate. don't take someones advice of here on just a photo. you need to know your stuff.
  17. yes the vet. never had any problems but i can see the advantages. ATB RAW
  18. can anyone tell me were this line came from please? just the area will do thanks .atb RAW
  19. yeah don't take it on on your own. you'll end up in one hell of a mess. ferrets every were nets all over the place. you'll need two quick set long nets, two gate nets, three or four ferrets and a friend. run the long nets out parallel up the hedge cut a small gap in the hedge (JUST BIG ENOUGH TO WORK IN) connect the two nets together with gate nets(so that you have surrounded the holes) put in the ferrets wait ( one man each side) repeat all the way down the hedge good luck mate atb RAW
