  1. Thanks for the advice lads, the nets do sound really cheap but I was surprised of the quality when it came. I'll take some pictures of our day tomorrow and let you know how we get on! Thanks again Nath
  2. I'll let you know how I get on this weekend Derby and I'll speak to the land owners
  3. Firstly, like to thank everyone for their advice on my post about hedges. A few people mentioned long nets and by the sounds of it they will be ideal for the land I am ferreting. So went ahead and researched and found a good deal on eBay - 2 x 50yds quick set 1 x 18ft foot gate net 1 free fox call £129.99 The nets arrived today so went out on the land my family own for some practice of laying them out and putting them away before this weekend. On first looks they look brilliant, build quality is impeccable and came very well organised. Shoutout to FieldSportsUK for brilliant
  4. Just bagged myself a bargain.. 2 x 50 yards quick sets 1 x 18ft stop net 2 purse nets Fox Call £129.99 What do you think lads?
  5. Awesome advice lads. Defo need to invest in some decent stop nets by the sounds of it. Where does everyone get there's from? Best quality, don't mind paying more as long as they're going to last a few more years. Best material? Weight? etc. Nath
  6. Brilliant advice lads, some of the hedges I am netting up don't have an end to them.. if you get what I mean. So would you just put the net straight through a well ran tunnel in the hedge? Can't thank you lot enough for the response. Cracking info. Nath
  7. When is yours due to arrive with you Sam. It looks like a good quality net.
  8. Cracking idea RAW, well explained. I'll keep you updated after this weekend
  9. Will take a look on them websites. Defo need to invest in some stop nets. Theres 3 of us going this Saturday with just purse nets, will keep you all updated on how I get on but will get some stop nets ordered this week or get myself some sheet netting. Thanks again guys, brilliant detailed advice
  10. True, I'll get some gate nets ordered this week. Best place to a buy some lads?
  11. You think the bunnies will spread around when the hedges thin down and go into the middle of the field?
  12. So you'd section the hedge off every 10 meters or so with stop nets? Cheers for your advice
  13. Looking for some advice guys. Recently had a permission on a lot of land where my sister stables her horses. It's swarming with rabbits, went for a walk around the land yesterday.. seen at least 200 bunnies, no exaggeration, but most are in the hedges. There are a few burrows out in the open but not as many rabbits in them - makes sense. The hedges are still thick and having trouble covering every hole. What's the best thing me to do or invest in? Looking forward to some replies Nath
  14. I'll give it a go Ideation. Using 3 down there at the moment, I'll tip the rest in. Cheers NEWKID I'll post on how we get on and keep this post updated with our successes.... and fails!
  15. I have seen at least 20 bunnies running into the warren. But l only seem to get about 7 or 8 bolting. This is where I could do with some advice off someone experienced, the ground is incredibly sandy, I took this picture whilst standing in the valley most definetly been a river running in the valley in past years. Anyone who would like a trip out with me and my cousin in North Wales is more than welcome. Again thanks for the replies!
