  5. nice one pal just i've had a few terrier crosses in the past and i think they all have dropped in eventually which can be a pain if you aint prepared. i have an old terrier here now but he was dug to ,so its lead only walks for him most the time.

  11. A huge red stag at woburn 55 countable points right where's my slip lead gone
  12. are red deer not good swimmers if you say a streams/shallow rivers will most likely make the beast stop and face the dogs. i know that fallow deer are great swimmers and can out swim dogs ive seen herds of fallow deer cross rivers all times of the year with ease with a dog giving chase preban. trigger I've seen programmes where they swim from island to island mate so they must be decent enough swimmers
  13. No didn't take like that mate ....was just refering to other threads that have been locked due to the arguing over whether it can be done or not. maybe it came across different, I did say no disrespect but if it's something people are sick of seeing just ignore my post. Now I have two people on here , just commenting to have a crack at me, and supposedly Iv spat my dummy out haha, far from it, just saying it how it is. atbEdited to add. The "I did state no bitching", was not aimed at you or your post. I said it , in relevance to you saying the post will attract bitching. So might of looked l
  14. My point exactly jepp...somewhere your not,I want being arsey, just it's been brought up a lot,and there's 2 trains of thought 1,it's impossible for a dog to stop a red deer, 2,lads that know it can but get called liars for saying so. So there little point in anyone telling their stories as it ends in a bitching match and the thread being locked
  15. I was being facetious, of course it has been done, but so had the subject many times and usually ends with thread being locked and name lots of name calling
  16. Impossible....... So they say.
  17. Come on mate, who wrote this , fess up.... Spot on , Ive been guilty of worrying what people think and what my dog should be doing, at the end of the day we have to look after our animals and they only have to please us, thankfully after an intensive 5 years of owning a lurcher all my goals and expectations have ebbed away and I feel much more relaxed about lurcher work and what I actually want from a dog , I/he suceeded and failed in equal measure, to his credit he taught me more than any great lurcher ever could and I still cast my eye looking for him when out on a mooch, but he's not t
  18. I think unless you do loads and can keep a couple or have plenty of honest friends to keep pups ,and see them work, its hard to keep a line going. If you can only keep 1 pup per mating and that don't make it ,and you have sold / culled /given away pups and can't get any back that could be the end of the line . So give away on terms ,that you can use in future to honest lads ....that's the hard bit though. Also start with stock that are the best you can get to start with.As you can't put in what ain't there to start with.
  19. Good advice off your uncle ,Owain it'll all come good for you pal. There always ups and downs with dogs. My old bitch showed her heart was still in it last week but her legs not so
