  1. funnily enough i bred two rough wheaton x and got two smooths in the litter there is a little bull in the bitch (1/8th) that said have heard of genuine first x with smooth coats, they look like a bull x really
  2. looks nice, a runner? do you know the wheaton x breeding that was in him?
  3. 313109_10150342269577087_279154098_n.jpg nice, how was he bred Mushroom?
  4. i know the lad and its an earthdog alright.
  5. do you rememer the name of the half cross from yorkshire?
  6. nice, is she first x ? did you breed her yourself?
  7. penny, belonging to BN, would you say she looked like a border x ???
  8. doesnt surprise me that the GWP and X's are despatching quickly, they're known as a rugged breed and more importantly are a working breed, you dont see many in pet homes put it like that. how many of the bull stud dogs in bullx are tested in any way shape or form?
  9. Totally agree with this post. It is hard to loose the terrier gate in a first cross. My 3\4 reverse dog put to a greyhound produced a litter of pups that ranged from 24" to 27" and all had a good turn of pace and moved well. The larger of the pups where a little light for my taste though. They where of a similar stamp to the older dog at the top of the page. Thats just going of the picture if they where side by side it might be a different story. thats a quick way of getting a 3/8 5/8
  10. RIP, I met him couple times when he was down digging with Welsh friends and he seemed a nice, dedicated sort of bloke thoughts go out to his family
  11. i think they'd suit a daytime hunter working rough ground and woodland/forestry. have heard of a number that are fiery on vermin
  12. first x wheaton grey rarely come tall , and often cobby. If you wanted to get height but add the fire you get from a wheaton then youd be better off putting a halfcross on the greyhound. plus the temperament would probably be very different from a DH/Collie/Grey
  13. how do they compare with the wheaton x you keep? temperament, work style etc?
  14. Thanks i need a pup out of my old man as he's 10yrs young early next year. The bitch has the speed and balance the old guy lacks so I'm hoping to come out with a bit of his size and her speed to make a better all rounder. Fingers crossed. yes im thinking of breeding mine again, they're 6&7 now - so by time a pup is ready for work theyll be pushing 8/9
  15. and a few spare cartridges for the huntsman (private joke bobajob, ignore me)
  16. hiya S try now mate just deleted some cheers Steve
  17. there is still a pointer x bull x pup left that a friend bred purely for daytime work - theyd be about 20 weeks now
  18. always found it odd as digging beddys often worked mute
  19. a local Pembrokeshire rugby club are known as the otters , and in the club there are a number of masks and the date/place where they were taken by the otterhounds.
  20. Tracking collar and receiver wanted, PM if you have one for sale
  21. me too Bosun - thing is they've got a bit of length to them, and tucked up - so there;s no reason they wont work like a traditional lurcher off the slip.
  22. Just an update on these that a friend had a pup and he's come a big lump, reckons he'll make 25-26 and strong - full of beans and already enjoying nosing around with the other lurchers. Still two dog pups there I think if anyone is interested.
  23. the ones I'd heard of were used daytime on the hill
