  1. good horse to stand still like that when you were sorting things out.
  2. bitch went three weeks ago, seen her once since, looking well and chap's pleased.
  3. i think Cleanspade sums it up when he says they make a good, tough, hardy, durable lurcher - ideal for mooching and running rough ground or small paddocks etc - i think they'll struggle on big land , long slips etc - i say that as a wheaton x fan but i admit their wind isnt always the best.
  4. I'm not sure that Old Dog is into Plummers, I think he'd rather stick with his Welsh & Fells You never know though, if he wants a bit more drive he could introduce some Plummers to his pack (I hope he sees this)
  5. I would delete this post before Old Dog sees it.
  6. cant comment on plummers but a failed earthdog can still go to ground, something you may not want when bushing? unlikely to happen with beagle/spaniel in the mix
  7. failed ones still drop in, which can be awkward theres some purpose bred Xs now which may be worth a look
  8. both his parents were half bull more or less - making him half bull, put over pure greyhound it'd make 3/4 breds? thered be 32th whippet and collie in there
  9. i think it would help give the offspring a hard, crisp weatherproof coat that is essntial for a dog working the icy cold borrans on the fells, loose coated dogs would come out half frozen , their coat like chandeliers............. . . . i made that up myself
  10. bitch sorted, gone local and to a friend of friend so everyones pleased thanks for your interest
  11. update for those interested, the lad who has her has been delayed 24hrs in Ireland, so back tomorrow night, OK
  12. he's told me about him before, big collie X want he?
  13. yes she hasnt done anything wrong and had taken good numbers of rabbits on the lamp, seen a few other things. i think for most people she'd be fine, just the lad runs very big land and likes a big hardy type, and she probably just lacking that bit of substance and stamina for that game.
  14. Lurcher bitch 25 1/2" 22months old, roughly works out as 3/4 greyhound 1/4 bull, decent bred bitch hasn't put a foot wrong! Jumps well, done well at what she's seen so far and gives a 100% just lacks that extra bit of wind on the long runs, want a decent home for her and will want to keep contact with whoever has her so no peddlers or fools please!! This bitch would be given to a genuine owner, preferably a long standing member off THL Based in South Wales PM if interested and my mate will call to discuss.
  15. only going by pics ive seen but i find it hard to believe there was no bull in Breay stuff, may have been put in beforehand?
  16. i would stay away from a failed earthdog, they can still drop in and that could end up causing you some bother if you're not prepared, seems quite a few bushing types being purpose bred now so you should be ok to get a pup somewhere mate best of luck
  17. was it the warrener had 3/4 GWP 1/4 grey??
