  1. Brothers, I don't know why there is all this sissy talk on here! I have ze worst case of noodle arms ever known to man and I can carry my 97 77 98 or 100 all day without aching!!!
  2. yes. as long as you give it a clean kill. brain shots only.. im sure I read somewhere online that an air rifle isn't the right tool for the job but as long as it doesn't suffer then its fine. 10.5-11.5 ftlbs is easily enough for a pellet to kill a duck cleanly with a brain shot. .177 or .22
  3. Well been pretty down and low over last few days. so a mooch through the woods was well in order to clear my head .. so I grabbed the hw98 after work and of I went! First crow pellet went over its head.. second crow pellet went over its head .. !!! Time to think about what was going wrong! rifle was bang on, my technique was good and consistent.. aahhhhhh, trajectory and gravity, elevated shots!! silly me. next opportunity. stalked up on a woody got about 30 yards. wobble on wobble off wobble on wobble off.. slowly wobble back on.. steady a bit lower than I did on the crows, bas
  4. I got a secondhand hw97k for £250 with scope and pellets and bag. Look for a second hand hw springer easy to service aswel if they do go wrong. And not all rifles NEED tuning!
  5. now use a springer and see if you can get the same size groups
  6. I plink more these days used to love hunting more but now I can shoot targets all day ... only with a springer the PCP's are fecking boring to shoot!
  7. plenty of vids on you tube . i think halfords do kamo colours that stick to wood and metal. watched loads the other day..some just spray paint straight away, some use primer first. didn't see any that sanded anything down first but they don't really go into detail about how hardwearing the finish is after. im just guna go for it lol. degrease, primer then spraypaint lol il have a look in Halfords next time I go to town cheers pal i think a matt laquer on the paint would help from chipping cool il look into that mate cheers. want a dull matt finish so sounds good
  8. I love getting tattoed I think it feels nice but im fcuking weird lol

  11. my 97 is a plinker/ hunter not bothered what it looks like, but at the min it has a shiny blue action and a bright orange (slight exaggeration) stock im sure dull neautral camoey colors would be better

  13. Might i add i upload from my android phone and then link the pics to here on the laptop

  15. Mine went dizzy a few weeks back but seems ok now? Where the links are to share sometimes a click makes it copy butother times i have to highlight it manualy first. Thats for sharing pics, never tried to download off photobucket, just upload to it
  16. I can shoot mine left handed (pretty darn good aswel lol) but a proper standing-out cheekpiece like on my fully ambi hw77k and hw100kt would be better.
  17. 'proper' ambi? like the thumbhole..? or does it have a cheekpiece on the left of the stock for right hand use, then just 'normal' at the other side, like on my hw97k ..?? RAISED at this side for right hander's .. NOT RAISED at this side but still useable by left handers If it has a full ambi cheekpiece then I beg you swap with me!!? bang some pics up of the cheekpieces ?
  18. you've been rumbled. you are a double agent at bsa guns
  19. brand new round my end about 220-230 for 99s and 300 for 95k with silencer. but you should find second hand bargain mate if poss
  20. The air arms are very accurate reliable guns I never had a problem with the magazines , obviously not as good as the HW but still effective. some say long pellets cause problems tho ? build quality is spot on, apparently they are very easy to strip and work on. im ok with springers but I wouldn't want to mess around inside a pcp the AAs410k is lighter than the hw100 but I prefer a heavy rifle. most say for a days hunting a lighter rifle is better, not me! neither will let you down both highly recommended. I was going to get another s410k - stick to what I know - instead of
  21. im thinking of doing my whole gun.. scope mounts the lot lol does it give a good finish? I would prefer dull to shiney . heard paint can chip off and scratch off pretty easy
  22. Mate I shot two woodpigeons in 20 seconds with my hw97 .. !! if I would have taken the hw100 I would still have had the same result
  23. How did you go about spraying the stock mate? did you sand it and use primer and all that stuff, or just bang it straight on?? lol what spraypaint did you use. has it turned out good?
