    I know what you mean, they should set them lower and let them bed in just under the limit.. but if they do them at 8-9 ftlb people will kick off.. that's there problem, if they cant wait for it to bed in then its tuff sh1t if it goes over. I walk to my permission and I always sh1t my brick about getting it tested by rozzer, even tho im not doing anything wrong they could still probably find a way to take it off me if they wanted to be arseholes. .. im trying to stay on the right side of the law, as do a lot of people.. but its so easy to get a rifle to shoot over the limit.. just diffe

    The wooden stock is suseptable to expansion and contraction in different temperatures which I have read can be enought to change the poi. I'm maybe being a bit ott. Still fancy the ambi wooden one though. Might place a swap ad and see wat happens. C god knows. too technical for me lol.. if zeros off it only takes a few shots to sort it and I always check before shooting anything alive anyways. and I love just plinking hehe

    Nice mate, doesn't even look that bad! im just about to rebuild my hw97k after giving the internals a bit of a polish ready for a plink and chrono tomorrow. should shoot sweet now, it wasn't too bad anyway. best way to bring the neew year in for me.. a walk to the farmers woods as the sun comes up to zero and plink for a bit... before it pisses it down all the best for 2014 guys heres to loads of happy hour shooting!

    Not sure how the stock is responsible for holding zero.. isnt that more to do with scope and mounts.? The hw97k i have at the min with the hawke sport hd has had the same zero after i set it up after mounting hasnt shifted at all. And when i had the same scope on my hw77k it never shifted neither.. But my old 97kt synthetic always seemed to need re zeroing after every outing? Maybe that just had a dodgy scope. My hw100kt is pretty solid on holding zero aswel with the panorama.

    Get another project you know you want to And get a better stock for that 97 wasnt keen on my synthetic 97 stock so chopped it in for beech thumbhole. Much better

    Never stripped it so far so dont know if theres actually any washers in it. That would make things a lot easier tho

    I have 3 springers and 1 pcp and I prefer shooting my springers my pcp is mearly a tool for hunting. I get no enjoyment out of shooing it :/ whereas I could sit plinking all day with my hw springers

    You hear a lot of SFS guns going over the limit when they bed in.. I have a funny feeling my SFS 98 will! and when it does (if it isn't already?) I will be stripping it to get the spring out. . im not sending it back there its too far and too much hassle, I will just send my spring to my mate who will shorten it for me if I ask him nicely Even if its not what I expect to see when I strip it- it is still a lovely smooth rifle to shoot,

    get a towel wrapped round a spanner and start whacking it you have to break the seal of loctite or whatever they useThats all i did. Brute force Just got all my wet&dry now so im going to do the 97 & 77 over xmas. Im going to chrono before and after to see how much difference it makes to the power.if any..     im just doing a bit of work on my 97k .22 at the min polishing the piston at the min down to 1200 looks pretty shiney watching Darrlys vid made me want to do mine. going to do the 77k aswel

    I use the .177's in my hw98 and there awesome out to 50 yards 5/5 under a 5p in a breeze
