    tried to chrono in the house but it was having none of it. going to go out in the morning and do it. pretty surprised with the accuracy of the rws hobby 11.9 .22 at 34 yards 10 shots to re-lead the barrel, at the top and then the group just down and to the left is 10 shots about as big as a 2p. there was a slight breeze aswel and I wasn't trying 100 % these hw97's are something else!!

    I got about 108 if I remember correctly... at 12.5 ftlbs before it got turned down!!! standard cylinder!

    Yeah I think the standard cylinder and silencer are more than good enough. my KT balances perfect for me, if I was to fit a A&M cylinder I think it would be too light lol

    I meant which pellet gives the highest ftlbs reading over the chrono. So that no other pellet will be as powerful incase it gets tested by police. If i set my rifles to 11.6/11.7 with 'the most 'powerful' pellet' then it wont go over 12ftlb.. ever.!

    I have quite a few .22 pellets so maybe one day in the summer I will test them all for power over the chrono through the 97 and see if hobby really are the most 'powerful'

    What is it in a springer? Is it really the rws hobby? Has anyone actually tried loads of different pellets in the same gun ?? I remember in my old gun jsb exact 8.44gr were about a full footpound higher or lower (forgot) than Ftt 8.66gr (averages stated on the tin) Thats a big power difference for .2gr !! Has anybody gone full blown anal/ mad scientist on this subject ?????

    get a towel wrapped round a spanner and start whacking it you have to break the seal of loctite or whatever they useThats all i did. Brute force Just got all my wet&dry now so im going to do the 97 & 77 over xmas. Im going to chrono before and after to see how much difference it makes to the power.if any..

    i thought I was going to bend my spanner whacking it so hard when trying to un-do my hw77k end block! and that was a rough gun inside. I had a quick go on it and made it a bit better like.. but I have almost a week off for xmas so im off to pick up some different grades of wet and dry, (only got 400 grit at the min) I'm going to fully 'Darryl tune/fettle' both my hw97k and hw77k after these vids have inspired me to get more out of my rifles. only thing im not confident with is stripping the triggers down. and I don't have a vice so polishing might be a pain in the arse lol

    What do you call 'miles' Its a well known fact that removing or fitting a silencer will change your poi. But if it was 'miles out, more than 2-3 inch then you may have a problem

    noise doesn't matter sometimes.. I got 2 woodys one after the other from the same branch in 20 seconds with my hw97k spring rifle!!

    mine had an air arms silencer that slips on and then tighten a grub screw. and it was very quiet, it had a 10 shot conversion already fitted and was very accurate.

    My neighbour has an old hw80 its shagged but he wants quite lot for it :/ Was going to get it and do it up but Where the barrel meets the cylinder the ends of the cylinder are bent in so i probably wouldnt be able to get the barrel on

    Lovely guns. The tune alone would be £+ and the custom stock im guessing 200 or more? Plus 300 for the hw95k in the first place. £149 could actually have been as you said...bargain of the year!!
