Ohhh ah ah! Yeah I did. Felt my synthetic HW97k was too much like a plastic TX200, swapped it for a 95 this morning and my god what a little beauty. If I'd bought it new i would have just got it from SFS and got it tuned. It's great, but judging by Mawders' specimen it coyld be fantastic. A true heirloom peice if looked after.

Pellet on pellet! Ah dammit. Double dammit as i just swapped the 97! Good excuse to practice bc calculating. For me, the technology we have today begs to be utilised. The alternative is years of practice with one rifle and the seemingly best performing ammo. 'power' being measured by penetration of pages in a telephone directory... Aids like the chrono and chairgun, with relatively little extra work (compared to a lifetime of practice) helps us leapfrog god knows how many years and kilos of lead. I dont wash or lube though I do weigh and sort. Something girly about washing

As a follow on from my Self Reliant Airgunning - Pellet Production thread, I thought I'd post a quick method on how I've been calculating BC without getting too technical. The theory is pretty straightforward. I don't have two chrono's, just a combro, so I am relying on Chairgun and its 'BC based on POI difference' calculator. Ten shots in total were fired. 5 at the zero of 12 yards, 5 at 30 yards. This gives us two distances. The fall of the shot will tell us how the pellet is performing in the barrel, then the air as it reaches its target. Of course, the chrono is telling us how fast

Self Reliant Airgunning - Pellet Production
milegajo replied to milegajo's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
This evening I've undertaken some long overdue ballistic coefficient calculations on my "Tomahawk" Homemade pellets. The results were interesting, though not exactly too encouraging. The pellets are a tight fit down the 97kt barrel as well as the Th208. However the .22's are very loose in my chums HW100! bizarre. Thankfully accuracy was very good but range is limited with the 97 showing severe drop off over just 15 yards. Here are the chairgun results. As you can see by the graphs, the drop off is most pronounced in the .177 through the HW97kt, I may perform further trial -
Mawders would copulate with his. In fact, I have my suspicions that is why he demands .22 calibre, perfect for size for his 'requirements'. No proof yet though...

Get the bike model, go on eBay or to a scrap yard buy a replacement wing mirror. Send it to him. Job done. If he claims you scratched his bike, request his evidence that proves 'beyond reasonable doubt' that you are liable. If he fails to supply it, you are not obliged to assume liability.

Gosh, just £24! Thanks Millet!

Strip her down, degrease polish and relube. If you still aren't satisfied, try a reputable tuning kit. My tx got twangy, did the above and she's superb now. My 97kt has a vmach kit installed and i have no complaints. That's an understatement. She couldn't perform better in my humble opinion. -
That's the clone of the tx200 I read. Lots of good reviews on it.

Well keep it up Moll, its moments like that which make life so sweet.

How to make skins flexible, not crinkly
milegajo replied to The Duncan's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
Oh Christ! In that case you want either a fence post with a smoothish rounded top, or conversely, string it up sturdily and work it with a rounded stick. The eye of Sauron, or 'Google' should have some illustrations. -
Nice to see you back Dave.

police harrasment. Revenue for old HRH won't collect itself!

I would strongly caution against admitting any wrongdoing. Your friend i presume, like me, set out believing himself to be in full compliance with the road traffic act. By doing as i suggest (pleading guilty with mitagating circumstances with a carefully worded account) you appease them yet let it be known you are no criminal, thus inviting leniency.

Of course, if I were in his situation, in light of the fact there is simply no injured party whatsoever and his so called 'crime/violation' is a legal not lawful one, I would decline any and all invitations to attend a 'court'. All communications would be shoved with glee back into the nearest post box with "Return To Sender - No Contract" emblazoned across them. That's not my advice in this instance as I doubt your friend has the desire nor background knowledge to successfully avoid any potential doorstep visits with his freedom intact and his record unblemished...

I had a similar experience. I had learnt to not even consult let alone heed a lawyer. I pleaded guilty with mitigating circumstances and graciously accepted the 100 quid fine (no points). I would be very happy to draft a letter for him. No promises of course, but i don't charge and he can reject any draft with out obligation. PM me for more details.

You have the ideal lifestyle..........mammaries wont make it any better. Not that I dont believe you, i've only found one pair so far happy to accompany me in the woods, but could you send a few more my way to test your claim? I would be VERY grateful, especially if you could time it for that particular week of the month we menfolk dare not mention.

Whilst cases like that are swept under the carpet so to speak. Whilst they stay, erm how would a politician put it? "Acceptably infrequent". No one will do anything. Bit like the ipcc does now. We had a local case where a police woman killed a 17 year old on a moped when she was late for duty. Ranks closed, no conviction ever announced. I haven't forgotten. Nor has his family. I stay, as much as is feasible, out of their way...
