A bit like this thread........... Well and truly my big breasted contributor
-
My reservations would rise to the fore however should the conversation turn towards "Lets have a look in that slip..." but no need for me to flog that horse. It's dead.
-
Agreed. That's exactly the difference. Polite, respectful, job done. Their questions were perfectly reasonable and justifiable considering their function and role. No need to divulge personal private details. Super duper.

Nice one davidtq. I like my combro because it also allows me to be anal about my zero and poi. That's how bad airgunning can infect the mind...

Has everyone who asked received a copy? Not heard back from anyone I don't think.....I must be getting old!

Heard a very similar story from the chap I was working for recently. It just beggars belief, it truly does. I'm honestly at a loss for words when I consider it. More so when one considers the measurements involved between the impact point and a vital organ! The only words that come to mind are: "I'm jolly glad you're still with us!!!"

Pianoman - Not upto anything shady I assure you. Living the way I do, as you say, you can invite that sort of attention. People are almost disappointed when you are 'normal'. Mischief? Always! Haha. I don't get pestered by HM, Have only had two encounters at my current location. One was PC Tattoos following up on an allegation by a Mr Noseysonuvabitch about my old HW97k, unfortunately he was a "you shall do as I command" kinda arrogant fella. Rude too. It was he I wrote about in 'Hold Onto Yer Guns'. The other time was a different Mr Noseysonuvabitch who called them out to my permission, onl

I love vids like that. I wouldn't be caught somewhere my springers wouldn't work though. Doubt a TX200 or HW97kt would perform too well at -35C nor do I wish to find out! Bbbbrrrrrr

Lets have an apocalypse and be done with the foreplay... I'll eat the rabbits pigeons and squizzers before i'd eat my dog. I think I'm pretty well set though.

Absolutely sublime pics. Incredible write up. I've long considered methods besides airgunning and what an excellent case you make for lurchers (had a rescue one a few years back, boy she was hard work but it was definitely worth training her up).

As said, I don't agree with all that is said in that video. "Must not comply" is a bit extreme, but as a lowest common denominator rule (and lets acknowledge that youtube broadcasts to a...how shall I put it delicately, 'varied level of IQ's') it is, I believe, a starting point for others to take forward, educate themselves and refine as they see fit according to the circumstances in which they find themselves. For fear that those reading this thread mistake your interpretation of a video I used for illustration purposes as being a verbatim representation of my standpoint, here's how I per

How to make skins flexible, not crinkly
milegajo replied to The Duncan's topic in Countryside Skills, Craft & DIY
As per PMs work it baby! Over the back of a chair should do the job nicely. Experiment with dampening tough bits as the aim is to break the collagen bonds. Sorry I didn't notice the thread. Good luck and experiment to see what works for you. -
Just to be clear, i don't run around in a balaclava with a bomb nor do i support those that do. That stuff is a big no no in my book!

I am genuinely touched that you re-examined it. I may disagree with your conclusion, but, in a strange way, i'm glad of it. If that is your true perception and belief, then I accept it. I don't view it as 'wrong' because who the heck on this green earth can say what is right? I also acknowledge that ultimately we agree, injustice, as we see it, is completely unacceptable. As to your advice, I intend to gladly follow it. That's not to say I renounce my beliefs and won't ever again advocate the ways and methods I have done, they are in accordance with my convictions. I would love to see

Is that sarcasm my dear Mawders? No need for apologies. No harm done and I still loves ya.

Shucks I think it may be easy for you to imagine, but I've had similar experiences to the one you describe courtesy of an Infantry NCO who took an obsessive like/dislike to me.... So maybe it is people with some form of authority that you can't abide! Lol. Yup! Disrespectful thugs on a power trip appear to be what press my buttons. My CO called it a 'character clash', I agree that that's one way of putting it.
-
Appreciated Mawders. I won't be removing it for the time being as I believe it pertinent and relevant to the conversation and the subject matter. A useful illustration. I also stand by all I have said to date without regret. I don't perceive it as 'anarchistic' much less as offensive or dangerous. It is concerning to me that you would suggest that a subject be driven 'underground' and not discussed openly, preferring instead that those who wish to know more contact me privately, I don't believe that promotes a healthy environment on what is (correct me if i'm wrong) an open forum. But

Now i agree with that wholeheartedly! Hoorah!

I honestly and truly believe that by following the advice in that video Darryl and legions of others would not have suffered to the extent they have done. So potentially yes, i do think it could "do favours". I respect this man who guards his privacy and make no judgement on him or the advice he gives based upon his appearance. I respect him for the research he has done and the wisdom he shares. The respect you say you have for me is mutual Simon. Even if this were our first exchange, I would still say that evidently we differ and are divided on our opinions and ideas. I accept and ho

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but sight and target acquisition are rather crucial when it comes to hunting successfully. It is therefore of little surprise and wonder that some of the most feared and respected of natures predators possess exceptional visual powers. My eyesight may not be quite as sharp as that of a hawk, but at my age I have few complaints. There is always room for improvement, especially when the light upon which our vision depends and operates, begins to fade. Thankfully, we humans are an inventive species and binoculars are an excellent boost. None more so, in
