  1. We want write up and pics ASAP! Well done, look after it!
  2. If you haven't already, pm him tonyponty. I think its still for sale, i had a look through last night and its a fantastic bit of kit. The reticle reminds me of a russian ww2 scope. Like a 30/30, but thin top line and the bottom thick bar almost meets the centre.
  3. start a campaign. Bud Or a thred about it. Or make a banner and go up to the east end and stand out side am very entertained. If it would effect a positive change I would. Until then I'll live and entertain myself in the woods.
  4. I'm an ignorant fool. i must be because i find it funny the tickets arent free when the people being charged are the taxpayers who are paying for it. Austerity my buttcheek. God bless the crippled and needy for foregoing the care they deserve/earned. RIP Those who have died at the hands of the understaffed and underfunded services like the NHS. All so the mob can be distracted and entertained. To quote a popular film that showed little has changed in a thousand years: "Are you not entertained? ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!"
  5. Olympics?! What Olympics?
  6. Definitely not for mooching. More a static hunting rig. Hunters Vermin has a nifty little barrel/scope mounted jobber, but i do like to see the crosshairs.
  7. Nope they didn't give a poop. I believe I deserved even just an f off in writing but never even received what was promised. Ahh well, airguns are all that matter to me!
  8. Same with my tx200. She was twangy for starters plus accuracy was off. Thought that if i was going to the bother of a strip down I'd clean the barrel too. Now she's back to her deadly self.
  9. Here is a clip of some test shots fired from the TH208 (which, believe it or not, after my caresses fires more smoothly than it sounds!)Seben Camera Mount, Hitachi HDC-1495E Forgive the poor quality but my netbook ain't got much juice for editing. http://youtu.be/V9TcxLL1pag Some of the results are obvious, but the most annoying is how close the camera ends up in your moosh. This negates prone shooting unless you shift your scope forward and re-zero.Any pointers would be much appreciated as I hope to obtain some hunting footage for you fellas.
  10. You're not wrong Mike, although some of the HW toffs would say that the older pre 1987 (may be slightly out on the year) 25mm piston HW77 has the edge over the 26mm HW97K.. I'm happy with my PCP/Springer combo anyway! Hehe hence the careful wording, don't wanna stick my head above the parapet!
  11. Will be interesting to see performance through a pcp. Do you use a magazine on your s200? I wonder if that will widen the groups as the theory suggests.
  12. The sale of my time has resulted in a glut of currency, which is nice, but temporary. I have been putting the money into 'tools' such as this pellet set up rather than just pellets so I can derive a long term benefit. The 97, well, that was indulgence i'm ashamed to say... This arrangement is temporary and due to end in the next week or two, then its back to hunting, writing and putting my 'investments' to proper use!
  13. Of course! I let this test down with the last hurried shot... I am very very impressed. The POI is low owing to the weight of the 11grain pellets. I had also stripped down, de-greased, polished and re-greased the TX200 and she is back to her deadly self after twanging from neglect poor girl.
  14. Why? There's plenty of lead on those old buildings round your way! :-0 True. it isn't lack of materials, its the forming of it. You beligerent poop.
  15. This practice teaches one to be frugal when zeroing! Used to do five shot groups. Now its three.
  16. Happy to send you some Tony. Will get in touch when i do another batch of .22's Thanks Simon, will keep you posted on tests and results. I need to gauge the bc which i imagine is a case of firing from two distances, measuring the poi, inputting to chairgun and adjusting the bc value until it matches. Believe it or not, but i think thats fun!
  17. Yeah the shelters were really fascinating. Still havent grown out of it...
  18. Pulled mine out yesterday after a few weeks of neglect and found shes gone twangy. Bought a vmached 97kt the other day and the difference is remarkable. Might send to Tony Wall or sell. Not sure what to do as I love it so much. Good luck with the sale mate.
  19. That the one written by John 'Lofty' Wiseman? I have the Collins Gem edition of that, possibly the best book I own. As a kid it proved to me nature already contained all a man could need to live, and live well.
  20. The Hw97k is the Hw100 of the spring gun class in my eyes rivalled only by its stablemates. The tx200 is an excellent tribute to the 97, the s510 a similar story for the 100. Happy the be disagreed with though as i've not handled an s510.
  21. Can't wait my man! Had a disappointment recently with a refusal. Just need to get my arse out there networking and knocking doors. Admirable persistence on your part too!
  22. Don't forget the h&n f.l.y .00001gr and l.e.a.f you put down the barrel of your sfs stage one tooned luxus 95k....
  23. After our long range shooting session i saw the leap in clarity from an smk 3-9x40, a nikko mountmaster 4-12x50 to the panorama 4-12x40. Now the two i have were fine at 30-40yards, but got challenging at 50-60. I initially thought right, upgrade required to a panorama, but I've realised that I rarely exceed the 40 yard range when hunting. The sport hd then, maybe a good compromise...
