    PCPs were fun and have their place i'm sure. What is telling in my experience, is probably 75% of pcp owners have, or at least want, a springer too. Says a lot. Nice bags there, good shooting. That Diana certainly looks the part.

    Milegajo, Why are you using your SMK for hunting pal when you have a HW97? Does the SMK fit you better buddy? If not then i would defo think about using the HW over the SMK. I would also bin the ammo your using and try H & N Field Target Trophy pellets if you do decide to use your HW97. Si. The TH208 is not a Hw95/80 that's true, i disagree with Mawders' verdict but respect his opinion however.     Aye, that was 1) my first heart and lung shot due to second guessing myself (13gr lightweight pellet) and 2) my first shot in anger with a ThunderBolt. On paper they're excellent through the TH208, I shouldn't have underestimated their stopping power. Oh, and correct if I'm wrong gents but I don't think Tony works on SMK's

    Lesson learned and shared in this case. Thankfully he was hit fatally, it's a bit awkward with the Seben Mount.

    They're .22 but I think what you say is still accurate and now proven.

    Wasn't convinced the zinc thunderbolts which I have never used for hunting would take it cleanly so went for the soft tissue. In fact, judging by the lack of deformation against metal, it more than likely passed right through making a headshot the better option in retrospect.

    That was 5x mag. He emerged 8 yards from my position, The TH208 is zeroed to 10-26 yards, so the ThunderBolt should have hit just below the shoulder but it is possible the lightweight zinc pellet just didn't cut the mustard... They've ripped my metal funnel trap to shreds so I'm guessing that's pure adrenaline that fuelled that scoot before his lungs gave out.

    Got this after going out 'hunting' straight after getting in from work at 17:00. Didn't get to eat. (See vid) Some woman brought her dog for walkies right in front of the warren i'd been sitting at for 2 hours (turns out she's the landowners horse training assistant). The only shot I got was this one an hour later, http://youtu.be/mzu7rFXiBIk And to add insult to injury...my dinner managed to die behind nettles, thistles and an impenetrable barbed wire fence. Hungry...but I've had a coffee and biscuits now!

    Erm...I love the vids. I love the display of shooting and engineering talent. But Mawders, thats where you should draw the line buddy.     Tx200, Hw 77/80/97/98 (the 95 is for girls like Mawders) hehe All can be had for second hand money within that budget, possibly new with a scope if you look hard enough.
