  5. Maybe they were beating cover with hounds and flushing wolves into the open with horsemen and lurchers in waiting to intercept it wouldnt be that different to a fox beat without the guns.
  6. If its a fellabella pony it would only take 2 rabbits to eat as much lol.
  7. why would you choose kinloch brae bitch instead of other breeding max what qualitys would they bring, would it be good on bends sprinting ability etc?
  8. How'd you know it was a sow ? well a sow has tits and a boar has NOT and since I make my ladder traps 2.4m long 1.6m high 1.2m wide.... when I jumped over the fence she was already 3ft or more up the rabbit wire and fixated on taking a corvid or 2... so I could tell from her under belly that she had sparse hair and nipples that looked to have been suckled on recently.... she also grunted at me in a very ladylike manner when she charged me twice and had bright pink nail polish on her claws....... reminds me of the missus except she has loads of hair on the nipples
  9. Boars are black with white stripes and sows are white with black stripes.lol.
  10. You should of got bullcross to usher it to safety haha.

  14. If you break down cattle weights written on box for pour on it works out about 1ml per 10kg as far as i know ecomectin, ivomectin and noromectin are all the same thing just made by splurious companys maybe im wrong but as said i know nothing about injecting.
  15. I presume you mean ivermectin if its pour on 1ml per 10kg dog would be about right i dont know about injection its a bit severe and irritates dogs pour on will probably take a week to kick in put is kinder
  16. you say you are a follower of hounds so indeed a patterdale is a cur also im with you now thanks for clearing that up.
  17. cur means mongrel or crossbreed and has been used to describe dogs that never needed or were bred to scrap or be game or throw the towel in.
  18. King, You are not alone, nobody is clued up on Patterdale history, IMO it does not exist as history should at least be older than one mans lifetime. The men who created the smooth black terrier strain are still alive. Right now what these men know as the truth is NEWS. When they are gone, it may become history. I met one of these men at a show in Ireland recently, a gent as far as I could see. He had a van with pups for sale, no problem, if he wants to make a few pound from his dogs thats his choice. But it struck me that it would be great if that man or his friends could wr
  19. There site is called Cairngorms Nature on FB.They said they also found bits of a roe deer fawn and a red deer calf.More fox cubs were brought to the eyrie before the chick fledged by both parents. Its a long and dangerous climb to the eyrie with a bag of vermin on your back IMO.Edited to add they said they are hares.I don't think they have any agenda its a Nature site.ive no doubt they can take foxes but to stack them out so neatly and cut so cleanly with no spines or bones exposed or fur tossed anywhere, and of course they have an agenda its to keep these birds from getting poisoned after all
  20. That picture looks staged to make the birds look efficient in pest control to win people/farmers/ gamekeepers over and id imagine if that ringed bird had a feast like that there would be fur scattered all over twigs and not several clean and sizeable chunks it looks like a tidy buffet or snackbox.
  21. maybe theres no such thing as pure patterdale thats why their called black dogs, chocolate and red dogs they come in a lot of shapes and sizes from 8 pound to 30 pound with every type of coat , hopefully thats a good thing bred for ability and not looks. There was several different breeds used at the time they were created to make a type i wonder how long it takes before we can call them pure bred they are at least 50 to 60 years around now hopefully never or that will be their ruination.
  22. Looks to be a be a bit of spaniel in there going by the ears maybe golden cocker x some type of terrier a patterdale maybe?
  23. Well the man wouldnt be a bullshitter his ducks are white and none are missing and his wife seen fox leaving stables with something black in its mouth and no sign of the dog since so its evidence enough for me but id imagine it was a hungry fox that was injured in someway and was struggling to feed itself so it took advantage when it seen a handy meal.
