  1. I'll take a punt and say it'll make at least 17tts Realistically you'll be lucky to see 21 I reckon.
  2. Those should be some crackers Have you any more pics of the sire? Deerhound/Bull crosses have always really interested me
  3. A pup can gain so much from a few light nights out with a patient owner and steady older dog to show them the ropes but 15 weeks is a bit young for anything but the shortest of lamping trips, IMO.
  4. Socks would be an ideal candidate for meeting with Tim IMO. The respectable rural business relying on lurchers is a great angle Just don't invite him out glamping for fecks sake
  5. Cats cause big enough problems over here killing native wildlife in genocidal numbers and that's mostly domestic cats, imagine the carnage caused by plague like numbers of ferals and wildlife that has no idea how to deal with a large mammalian predator.
  6. Morrissey is long past the point where a shake of the head would help him, only way to fix him is a bit of lead behind the ear
  7. And 10 more will probably already be on the ferry from Ireland to replace it
  8. With any luck when he hears about all these brown folk coming here he'll feck off back across the water
  9. He was the most athletic mastiff type I've ever known (and I've known some serious mastiffs). He could clear a 5 bar gate and would regularly come along with me when I was exercising the APBT bitches doing 10+ miles on the bike, I tell you watching a dog of that size working a springpole like a pit is a seriously impressive sight
  10. Whatever you use to filter it (coffee filters, muslin or an old pair of y-fronts ) make sure you dampen it with water before filtering, stops the vodka soaking into it
  11. I've been thinking about getting myself another mastiff type recently it'll probably be a while until I find one that's up to my standards though. Here's some pics of Diesel at various ages, really wish I had took more off him now. Black APBT with him is my current nutter of a house dog
  12. Jesus its straight out of an RSPCA ad It isn't chocolate either
  13. He was a stunner A real good mastiff type sure leaves a lasting impression if you're ever lucky enough to own one Thanks BGD me and the wife have spoke about him. And we both agree maybe once in a lifetime you will own a dog who will make a massive impression in your life. I can't quite put my finger on it so to speak but he touched us in a way we will never forget. It sounds daft mate but that's what he done. Even the kids often talk about spike. We would part with untold money to have him from a pup again.I know exactly where you're coming from pal, there's those once in a lifetime dogs out

  15. The real massive ones are usually crossed with other bigger mastiff breeds, there's a lot of fake "presas" out there. In the US they even split them into Dogo Canarios and Presa Canarios with one being the actual Presa from the Canary Islands and the other being the "recreated breed" from the '80s made up up from various mastiff and bulldog types crossed together.Have to be real careful in picking a breeder to make sure you get the real deal. I like the one on the left of this adhttp://www.preloved.co.uk/adverts/show/113626130/presa-canario-le-curto-bloodlines.html Looks a nice type, if the

  18. J7 is where I'd go if I was after a pure Presa They work with some top imported blood.
  19. I suppose you would just drag your trailer along?when I was young boy my grandma and grandad used to keep an old Vardo and During a weekend in summer we would often take it around the local lanes stopping in various places and my bed was on the grass underneath the wagon with my two brothers at the time I can assure you being the one on the edge on a wet windy night you would get soaked to theBone as sisters and elders are all cosy in the warm wagon sometimes we would use tarp to stop the wind and rain when it was really bad Why not just put the tarp up every night instead of waiting for it
  20. Aye its been a cracking thread, can't help feeling sorry for the younguns coming up in the sport these days when reading everyone's memories, they'll never know the joy of being able to be totally open about their sport sitting in the pub with an old warrior on their knee the whole place hanging on their every word as they recount the days dig.
  21. My neighbour had a collie x GSD when I was a littleun, we used to steal it and take it out into the woods when we built dens etc, was a demon for catching tree rats
  22. I really fancy this cross too, Bird's Buck over a real decent big land coursing dog would throw some real useful all rounder types IMO I know I'd be pestering him for a pup the moment I knew the lining had happened
  23. Cracking pictures, those kids are truly blessed growing up in such surroundings
  24. good days indeed mate ,another one I can mind was being put in the back of an old escort van with all manor of digging stuff and I garrantee I fight between the dogs would brake out with my father shouting " brake them up " lol me trying not to look scared . Nah you're right them days are gone you'd be lock up nowadays . LOL, been there, done that. If it wasn't two having a go at each other it was a dog puking. Then it was all windows open, and it might be a pissy day in December, LOL.If a lot of drink was consumed the night before and a dog puked tripe everywhere then it was pull over of th
