  1. I see your young lad in the background has gone on strike Obviously not paying enough!
  2. Exactly, they fall at the first hurdle of getting housed because their lives are so chaotic while homeless so you get them housed and then focus on getting them in contact with support services and local agencies to get their life in order from a more stable base. It's worked elsewhere so why not in the UK? If you're against this what's your solution to the problem of rising homelessness? Because it's obvious something needs to be done.
  3. They probably would be a local thing UK wide if it wasn't for the trapping and neutering programs that go on up and down the country to be fair.
  4. No one is talking about just putting the homeless in homes and then saying job done, this is part of the Housing First model which has had success in other countries where you first house the homeless and then help them with access to support services etc to deal with underlying problems.
  5. The solid blue is the one that caught my eye Cracking litter all round by the looks of it though you'll be spoilt for choice.
  6. He promised 16 year olds who can't vote loads of thing so they would vote for him? Not sure that makes any sense pal... What policies exactly did he change? 72 is only a year older than Trump and he's an incredibly healthy stable genius, hardly in some home pissing himself in a chair! Don't be so ageist
  7. I haven't seen any figures for this specific part of the housing policy but off the top of my head I think it's £5 billion from the National Transformation Fund that has been set aside for the national housing programme as a whole.
  8. Helping the homeless, what a b*****d!! It would come from the national housing programme funded by the National Transformation Fund already outlined in the 2017 manifesto "Under the plans, the next Labour government will strike a deal with housing associations – similar to that done by the Conservative over the right-to-buy – to make the homes available immediately as they fall vacant, and fund the replacements via Labour’s national housing programme. In this way, the homes for rough sleepers will become available much more quickly than if they were built from scratch."
  9. That was a Serval he had, Savannah cats are a cross between Servals and domestic moggies and you can own them without any of the licensing required to own a Serval. They come up on the freead sites from time to time and there's breeders popping up all over the place because kittens sell for up to 5 grand
  10. Hope you had a gone one pal If you're anything like the Aussies I know you'll be nursing a hangover for the next few days

Shocking isn't it? He's no better than a car thief, bag snatcher, burglar or shoplifter

In the eyes of the law It's exactly the same actually
  14. I'd say it probably applies equally to both to be fair pal
  15. Speaking in Davos Philip Hammond has called for a Brexit which brings only “very modest” changes, sees continued close alignment with EU rules and regulations, and the continued free movement of people. Hammond praised the ultra-Remain CBI, before arguing that he didn’t want to see any serious material change in our relationship with the EU: https://order-order.com/2018/01/25/hammond-demands-high-alignment-and-free-movement/

    What a c**t

Trying to do the right thing by their old mum keeping her at home rather than packing her off to rot in a care home (and hats off to them for that!) and this still happens Should be a hefty prison sentence and on some kind of register for life to make sure they never work with vulnerable people again, certainly not let off with a fecking caution FFS!
  17. It's a myth spread by "fur mummies" because saying their rescued mutt with a couple scars was used as a "bait dog" is a great way to get a pat on the back and their ego rubbed down the park and all over Facebook.
  18. It's got to be a better idea than buying a brand new car on finance knowing it will be worth feck all by the time you've paid it off and are looking to upgrade again (got to keep up with the Jones!) which seems to be the done thing amongst a lot of folk I know! I try to tell them how stupid it is but they won't listen and then they wonder why they're always stressing about money...

    175 years ....

I had a wee chuckle when I saw on the news he has been sentenced to "AT LEAST 175 years"
  20. Aye spot on a mill isn't a replacement for walking and certainly isn't the tool to be used to keep dogs ticking over, you'd be better off just getting her to chuck a ball about in the yard for a few minutes every day and maybe making a flirtpole for her to use IMO.
  21. Not quite, the UK can still present a defence in cases brought to the ECJ there just won't be a British judge on the panel because only member states have a judge on the panel and the UK won't be a member state after 29 March 2019
  22. I had a feeling you'd have something to say about the cranberry supplements I've read quite a few articles and studies and it does seem the consensus is it has little or no effect but at the moment I'm loath to change anything up while things are going well! When this bottle of tablets runs out I probably won't get more though and see how she goes
