Charlie Elphicke has also had the whip restored, he was suspended from the party because he's currently under investigation by the police for alleged sexual offences committed against members of his staff.
-
May has restored the whip to the sex pest Andrew Griffiths (https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/politics/tory-mp-andrew-griffiths-lewd-12919733) who had the whip removed after being caught sending over 2,000 sexual text messages to two constituents. She must actually think it's close if she's that desperate for votes...

Perfect description of the way he talks I've actually been seeing Trump supporters sharing that video round and bragging about how he "destroyed" Schumer somehow though...

TBH if there was a sudden GE as a result of a vote of no confidence in the government they wouldn't really have time to change leader anyway. Only two weeks between the government losing the vote and a GE being called.
-
Yeah they can't move another vote of no confidence in her for 12 months but I reckon she's going to promise to stand down after March 29th if they don't pass the vote tonight.
-
Raab has a shot too IMO not a great chance but better than Mogg or Boris. Pointless speculating though really, I'm pretty sure she'll survive tonight.
-
I get invited to all the best orgies Going to continue a worrying trend and agree with all this! She's messed up at evert stage of these negotiations TBH, at some point folk just have to admit she was never the right person for the job! Having said that though the time for a change of leader was straight after the 2017 GE or at a push after Chequers. I reckon she'll survive tonight but it'll be close and just deepen the divisions in the party and make it even harder for her to get anything through parliament. There used to be but he's soured a lot of that since the refere

Rees Mogg wouldn't even make it past the first round of voting in the leadership contest IMO, he really isn't that popular with Tory MPs.

I was talking about Trump with my very right wing brother-in-law the other day and even he was saying he doesn't understand how anyone can listen to the man talk and say with a straight face "yup, now there goes a properly clever man who knows exactly what he's talking about" It goes way beyond Bush's faux folksy pattern of talking and slips into just pure word salad. Honestly the more I see and hear of him the more credence I give to the idea that he's in the early stages of dementia/suffering from sundown syndrome...

Don't worry max it'll only be Javid until the next GE then Corbyn will take over and all those Labour policies you agree with will be implemented Glad to see you're excited for our first Pakistani Muslim PM though, very progressive of you!
-
Yeah you're right, I should be marching into Westminster and sorting all this out instead of discussing it in a lighthearted way on an internet forum. Shame on me! Strong rumours that the threshold of 48 letters of no confidence in May have gone in... Is everyone excited for Prime Minister Sajid Javid?

I'll never be able to see this frontpage without pissing myself. Pissed away the only majority the Tories have managed to scrape together in a generarion because she started to believe her own hype Now that's what I call a daft c**t!
-
So the situation the Tories find themselves in now is May's fault then. Glad we cleared that up Well considering Labour gained seats and removed the Tories majority with Abbott as Home Sec but May lost her party's majority and utterly fecked the chances of us having a good brexit I'd say calling the election was the bigger mistake
-
You mean like May had before she decided to call an election and proceeded to totally feck up the campaign?
-
Read the manifesto and accompanying costing document? So it was pointless voting to leave then because no matter who was in power a brexit deal that was actually good for the country was impossible to achieve? What happened to "The easiest trade negotiations in history!" "The UK holds all the cards!" No. The only thing the Tories have going for them at the moment is fear. You can see that in the way they campaigned in the 2017 GE, they have no fresh policy ideas that appeal to people fed up with the status quo and can't communicate a positive vision for the future. Until
-
Nonsense. It's thanks to the robust opposition from Labour that the government is in this position now and when it eventually falls it will be thanks to Labour too. They've forced mistakes at every turn. All part of the long term plan Good to see you admit you don't believe in democracy and the only way a party with your vews could gain power is if an armed coup removed all opposition though.
-
Dream on, under Corbyn Labour has smashed May's majority and tied her zombie government in knots ever since. Now they're going to go on to form the next government of the UK. Wouldn't call that fecked for a generation
-
Maybe she would have had an easier time getting her deal through parliament if she hadn't wasted months of negotiating time on a disasterous general election campaign that resulted in spunking away her majority? She's been an utter failure as a PM and she's fecked her party for a generation. Everyone can see it.

Labour have been in backroom talks with the DUP and other parties about putting forward a vote of no confidence but from what I've heard the DUP aren't quite at the point of wanting to bring the government down yet (but they're close) so I wouldn't expect a vote of no confidence to be put forward this side of Christmas because Labour will want to be sure it's going to pass before they put it forward or they'll just strengthen the government's position. What I can't understand is how there hasn't been enough letters of no confidence in May handed in by Tory MPs yet. It's not even li

Fridges cause more house fires than any other white goods actually. Behailu Kebede was offered witness protection in the lead up to the inquiry because of the huge number of death threats and abuse he was recieving but he never accepted it so no, he wasn't given a new identity or moved to a safe house. I've also never seen any evidence he was stealing electric. The only reason that block went up like it did was because of the cladding put up by RBKC Council, nothing to do with the imigration status or ethnicity of the residents. Glad I could help clear that up for you
-
Shows how much attention you pay really. He's still very critical of the EU, made plenty of speeches since the referendum criticising the EU and drawn loads of fire from remoaners for it.
-
Nope. Built when Ted Heath was PM and the cladding was put up by Tory controlled RBKC Council.
-
It's properly hilarious how folk like you scream about Corbyn trying to stop Brexit when he's always stood firm on respecting the referendum result (he was actually one of the first politicians to call for Article 50 to be invoked after the result) and on the other side you've got loony remainers screaming about how he's a "hard right Brexiteer" in bed with Jacob Rees Mogg and Farage You'd do well to remember Corbyn has been speaking out against the EU long before it became the populist cause it's become in recent years. The Bennite wing of Labour have always been some of the loud
-
I don't want to rehash the Grenfell debate especially when you lost family in the fire but the point is the fire never would have spread beyond that bloke's flat if it wasn't for the substandard, dangerous cladding that had been slung up. And of course RBKC Council's response on the ground was dire following the fire too. Really sorry for your loss pal, would tear me up losing a family member like that.
-
Well that's one thing May is good at - uniting everyone around how shite she is! I mean she even had the DUP siding with Jeremy "Up The 'RA" Corbyn FFS I'm hearing talk that No.10 are becoming resigned to the fact that a second referendum is their only way out after they inevitably get knocked back by the EU when trying to renegotiate...
