But he said a fresh slate is better at times then he train the way he likes it done rather than some pro who all ready has his own ways. Fingers crossed but I can't see him choosing a blank canvas over experience but we will see. Got to wait a while to hear his got adverts coming out and wants a couple of folks who can do diff shifts

Great offer thank you I am in sunny west wales though a bit far I think. I have applied for a job doing 300 cows. Have no experience but they happy to train up. 5 am start then home and backup for the afternoon milk unless they busy then muck in and help through the day. Completely new to me though. He is seeing other people so maynot get it. But happy to have a go and sounds like plenty of hours. Every other weekend off so can still squeeze bit of ferreting lol

  11. Had a couple of lamps off dlloyd the DL 100 which is bright and wide maybe too wide and the plr500 which I found narrow. Went to grab the 100 this week and the light was all yellow after a couple of years so grabbed the 500. Lost a couple of rabbits because I couldn't keep the light on them and the poor old dog couldn't get up to speed and was bouncing around trying to see them. Bit like aiming a bloody lase at a moving object. Most of that is my eyes mind. Out last night with the old Tracer 140 and me sealed bike battery nice old orange light and could see every thing no prob. I have messa
  12. Well fancy that handy when the old funds are low
  13. I saw a post on another forum of some one using a radio for that. No mention of the frequency though. Said it worked fine once you got hang of it or at least well enough and better than nothing
  14. beddy whippet barked about fours times in her 16 years and one them was when i trod on her toe ?
  15. Ain't that the truth I have a couple of lamps off D Lloyd. The first one was a bit narrow and I had a hell of a job keeping it on the bunny at range. When the dog came back and started beating me with a white stick I new I needed the next model up
  16. All ways get a chill seeing earths where dogs have been lost. Know for a couple around here in the bottom of banks. One was close to a ferreting spot and I all ways popped lead on as we got close. Caught me out one day and I forgot and he slipped in. Couldn't locate him any where then after 20 minutes he showed so thankfully nothing at home. I ran off into the trees screaming rabbit rabbit and he followed me and I dived on the ferker lol before he went back in
  17. surprised you kept it still long enough for that pic lol
  18. Could hold the last fox in the uk think I would be off to find some rats
  19. Perfect time to start lamping just get out on your own you will be fine and sure the both of you will enjoy it espeacially when it nails its first rabbit. Nice thick hedges the rabbit can't get in a hurry. Get in between rabbit and home if possible make sure the dog has sited it and away you go. In 4 years my dog has caught 3-4 day time rabbits unassisted best avoided for younger dogs to start
  20. Christ why would you put a dog in there
  21. oh god I new there was going to be pictures lol. Yummy as hell
  22. on a lead I hasten to add lol
  23. Very noble looking. The sheep test would be first on the cards
  24. about sums it up. Now a little press of a button a little yelp and old fenton would probably never look at a deer again and get fun walks off lead down the park lol. Instead of that the old boy prob kicked the shit out of him and dog didn't have a clue why and don't like the owner much any more and still likes to chase santa's little helpers
