gave the dog boiled egg for a change

lmao so theres god points and bad points with feeding egg lol Mmm, eggy farts... Feed them raw, problem solved! -
Other boards I frequent operate a 'Trust' system, which is built into the forum software. You can't use the Members' Market until you have at least x number of posts, and if you breach the rules you're IPBanned. Fair enough an IPBan is easy enough to get around, but on top of other protections (especially post requirements and bans for spamming, so you can't spam your way to the Market) it works. Who would bother to get in 500 to 1,000 decent quality posts in order to use a Trust based market system, just to rip someone off for £10 or £20 and then lose access to the board? That's a long time t

Have you spoken to Clive and the SHG yet?

Does anyone have a link to the Australian Formula manufacturer's website, or can they paste up the ingredients list here? I can't seem to find it. Each to their own but Red Mills is a very low quality biscuit, as is Beta Greyhound. I'd be interested to see how Australian Formula squares up.

gave the dog boiled egg for a change
Rainmaker replied to Wxm's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
As above really. Eggs are perfect little protein sources (100% bioavailable, containing all required amino acids in exactly the correct proportions) and are full of goodness. The shells are full of calcium and if you can get the dog to eat them, "crack on"! My dogs never would/will eat the shells, but they get raw meaty bones every day anyway so it's no biggie. Raw egg is excellent, personally I'd prefer those over boiled but it's not the end of the world. Some folks will tell you that dogs (and humans etc) can get a biotin deficiency due to the avidin content in eggs. However, that is i -
Unless I missed something under the newish Animal Welfare Act, even if the horses WERE neglected (which I'm quite sure they weren't!) the arsepca still have no power to seize them off their own bat as they're a charity not a Crown or court body. They could only do so under the direction of a constable, court order or similar.

I've seen worse in national newspapers, and I don't mean the Sport either (the Sport is a yellow-journalistic softcore national 'newspaper' in the UK, patterdaddy). There was nowt up with the photos, and anyone young enough not to be considered OK to see 'swimsuit' material shouldn't be on here without an adult checking posts first anyway imho. Bit over the top, especially when the Calendar for sale on here has previews showing much the same thing (and nowt wrong with it at that!).

Exactly. You don't have to pay the police to do their jobs, I'd suggest seeing someone first thing. If they try to fob you off or say it's a civil matter (you'd be surprised how even the police bow down to the non-existent 'power' of the arsepca), ask to speak to the chief constable. You'll not get them, but someone senior should hopefully know more about the way the law really lies, and take some action. Maybe speak to Clive Reese (I gave you his number above) and see if he wouldn't have a polite word with a senior officer, informing them of their legal obligation to act on a case of admitted

Give the hunting lawyer Clive Reese a call on 07969 378 750 and also the RSPCA victims' Self-Help Group on 1470 0844 700 6690 (UK National Rate, not premium). They'll point you in the right direction mate. Best of luck, the b*****ds boil my piss

LOL 97% say yes, 3% say no. No doubt the whole thing will be dismissed as 'hijacked' as it didn't give the required support for the ban.

The only thing I can think of is the pic is maybe slightly over-exposed (bright)? And she didn't say she wouldn't be in the calendar, just that that pic wasn't up to standard. Just thinking out loud, not saying I'm right.

My bitch is like that mate, always has been from a pup. Vet bedding, blankets, my old (worn) t-shirts with scent on them, sacks... The second she spots they're in her kennel she tosses them out, as if they dared invade her space Her pup likes something to lie on, and will make a bed, but she has none of it and ejects them summarily lol I did find that a piece of soft deep carpet cut to size to be a tight fit lasted a bit longer, but it's hardly warm like a bed of blankets is. Have you tried barley straw? She might kick some out but it's easy to sweep, biodegradable and more importantly WARM.

There are no capital offences in the UK (and Isle of Man) any longer, and that includes treason. The Crime & Disorder Act 1998 removed capital punishment for the last two remaining civilian offences (treason, and piracy with violence), and the European Convention on Human Rights also prohibits any member state from administering capital punishment (article 13). In an ideal world I'd be all for the death penalty, certainly in cases of crimes against children (abuse, murder) and other such atrocities. However, it's all very well to say hang 'em high if they are convicted on 'solid' evid

It's acidic, so yes probably. A lot (most?) of the bladder and urinary problems stem from alkaline conditions in the body. I'm sure someone will have all the background information to clarify though. A high protein diet (rather than a high carbohydrate one) would have the same effect, and be of better use in the long run. JMHO.

Only me liking it then? I think it's a lot cleaner and more functional, and it loads better too. Upgrade your browsers and plugins and you shouldn't have a problem.

I don't know what kind of university the OP attends, but any such questionnaire based on a general public sample would need to fulfil certain criteria. It would need to be assessed and approved by at least a senior tutor, but more likely an ethics committee (depending on the level). Further it would be standard protocol to state the full name of the person conducting the research, their academic affiliation, department and a contact address, phone number and email, along with details of how the data will be used, the stated purpose of the research and an opt-out. Fill in the blanks OP and

That story is being quoted out of context. The farmer in question was keeping cattle in the dark 24 hours a day. There was a window, but it was so dirty that light couldn't get in. The local authority and RSPCA tried hard to persuade the farmer to wash the window but he refused. This went on for a long period of time.

While stitching up the hand of a 75 year old Norfolk farmer, who cut it on a gate while working cattle, the rural doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Gordon Brown and his appointment as Prime Minister. "Well, you know," drawled the old farmer, "this Brown fellow is what they call a fencepost tortoise." Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him what a fencepost tortoise was. The old farmer said, "When you're driving along a country road and you come across a fence post with a tortoise balanced on top, that's ca

how big should bones be your pup swollows?
Rainmaker replied to driller killer's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
If the portions include quarters that's not bad, but feeding just wings or drummers and the like is far from ideal. Whole frames are far better, just make sure you "top up" the diet with some other meat to keep the overall balance. For example, a frame and a bit of tripe or beef. I hear what you're saying about cost, but don't worry raw feeding is really very cheap once you shop around so to speak. That said it IS cheaper up north, no getting away from that. Friends on the raw lists didn't even believe how cheaply we get frames and the like, at first. They (down south) are paying literally tri -

how big should bones be your pup swollows?
Rainmaker replied to driller killer's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Drumsticks aren't very good bones imho, as they are (1) weight bearing and (2) have a high bone:meat ratio. Being weight bearing isn't critically important for modern chicken, that said, as they're rarely more than a couple of months old at slaughter, so haven't got the dense hard bone old boiler hens have/had. Additionally drummers are rather small for a pup of that breeding. Things like wings, necks and drummers would be OK as a treat for a very small pup (Chihuahua etc) but not a larger working dog. The raw meaty bone should ideally be as big as, or bigger than, the pup's head. This encoura
